Worrying About What You Think People Are Thinking of You? I've got some good news for you

I love this quote from David Foster Wallace from his book, Infinite Jest.

Way too often we worry about what we think others are thinking about us. The reality is that they are thinking about their own lives and what they are going through!

The reality is that, frankly, they most people really don't care about you that much as they are very busy with their own set of problems, obligations, and challenges.

Therefore, the good news is that you don't have to worry about what you think they are thinking about you.

Focus on living your life the way that is best for you and sending love and good vibes to others around you.

Peace.

So very true! Not only are others rarely thinking of us, but I would add that when they are, they're usually just thinking about a character in their story, that may or may not have anything to do with the actually you/me.

I recently Don Miguel Ruiz's The Voice of Knowledge, and while I certainly don't come from the same kind of spiritual view as him, the focus on each of our personal stories, and how little they ever have to do with anyone else, was quite profound.

Love you brother!

Great to hear from you, Kenny! Thank you for your message and I agree with you. It often is someone they knew in their experience that is influencing them and they attribute the negativity to us.

It is best to wish others good and then move along for our own mission in life. We can only control ourselves so that is where we focus our attention.

Always good to hear from you. Thank you for the comments.
