Can You Leave a WhatsApp Group Without Being Noticed?

in steempress •  6 years ago  (edited)

Do you get added into a WhatsApp group chat unwanted and find yourself stuck inside? Did you ever think how you can leave the group chat without offending everyone's feeling?

Okay, don't get confused with the title, aite. Of course, you can't leave a WhatsApp group without being noticed. Unless there is someone who can hack that app and help you to leave that annoying group chat discreetly without noticing anyone in that group.

But, here's what you can do instead.

Mute the group notification.

Since you can't really leave the group chat without offending anyone, you can mute the chat group (disable the group notification) by just a simple step. Just go to the group info, tap 'mute' and choose the period you desired. It will stop sending you the notification everytime someone shares a link that you can win an iPhone just by clicking the link or spamming the group chat with tons of greetings picture. This, however, will not get you out from the group chat. You will still see how many messages you have missed once you open your WhatsApp. Believe me, you will receive more than 500 messages if that group is too talkative.😅

If that still annoyed you, the best thing to do is just leave the group. I think people nowadays will understand when someone so suddenly just leaves the chat group. Yes, they will wonder why and the rumours start kicking in, but you don't owe anyone an explanation, don't you? Best thing, just be yourself and be happy.

Allow me to share a video here for our own entertainment. Let me know in the comment below how you handled the situation like this.

Day by day I prefer a meet up face to face rather than online chit chats. Things are so much more human in live interactivity ....even facetime comes close but still I prefer live meet up.

There’s a pro and cons though. Sometime, you can avoid facing that one irritating person and still be able to communicate with each other through messages.

But, I do agree with you. Live meetup is more humanly interactive😁

Muting is really convenient. If you want to keep people from asking why this guy left or why she left. It's not as annoying as there won't be so many notifications. Life's easy muting. LOL

Wish there is one easy way instead of muting. But, as of right now, yes... the mute is the only option 😁
