Shounen-Thai Quartet plays Shostakovich 8

This quartet started years as ago as a classical "boy band" - they were all kids who used to hang out at my house. Now they're all grown up (in their 20s) and one is studying in Vienna, one has joined the National Symphony and another is a regular with the Siam Philharmonic, and the last one, the first violinist, is our resident concertmaster and lives in a garret in my house.

This is the performance which won them first prize at an international ensemble competition.

I'm very proud to have had a hand in nurturing them to this level....

They are such a talented bunch! I've loved seeing them grow up via facebook and youtube.

You should be proud!!!!!

Who else gave them a chance and the encouragement, training, and mentorship to succeed?

We need to clone you, Somtow! The world needs more mentors, more people willing to encourage our young kids no matter what their talents are.

Thank you for giving the world their music!
