I'm a scientist who writes fantasy and science fiction under various names. This contest seems really fun.
MY SUGGESTION (199 words):
Life is short, even if you live forever.
Fifty years is a long time to wait for the things you ordered. Everybody's eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next transport platform, coming from earth. They don't anticipate it crashing into the ocean. Problematic when it's a habitat as large and massive as one of the seven moons.
Rain. I look down. Dimples reflected in a shallow puddle. We hold each other.
We're safe. Others aren't.
Behind us, behind mist, ruins of a dead city. Flooded.
In the distance, the sound of waves crashing against the far shore.
Were it that the waves were merely their sound!
With the city destroyed, the narrator and five other individuals venture towards danger, not away. They'll not age. But their life absent technology will be a hard one. They must recover, somehow, what they can, from the crashed platform, whose lowest levels rest on the soft ocean floor. Problem? It's slowly sinking.
Another problem. The colonial administrator is with them. She wanted to extort from the shipping guild and first gave wrong coordinates to the platform. Now she has something to hide from the other survivors.

Glad to be a part of this! Here is my summary for part 1..
Everything was right on schedule. There he was. Frank, a daunting man complete with a leather briefcase to match his shoes, emerged from the train at 6:45am. Just as expected.
As he walked through the train station, I noticed his grip on his briefcase, his slightly crooked walk, and his constant scanning.
Looking left, right, ahead, and behind.
I couldn't tell if he was expecting me or just expecting the worst.
I discretely followed him for several blocks before I allowed him to believe no one was following him. He stepped into a coffee shop downtown and seemed relaxed, as if he somehow sense I was there, but then talked himself out of it.
Well, not me particularly, considering we've never met before, but just the sense of me being there.
I wondered what he would say if I told him who I was.
Would he act as I was a ghost? Would he storm out of the coffee shop, leaving me alone with the blank and frightened stares of everyone around me?
Or would he accept me? And ask me to sit down with him?

It all started on a typically warm windy day in California...a long way from Yorkshire and the dank, dark streets of Leeds. A man saunters into a run down second hand book shop just off Venice beach and begins listlessly leafing through a pile of New Age books scattered in a chaos of covers, all promising instant life changes.
And on this occasion, against all the odds, that's exactly what happened.
The book that caught his gaze was entitled "Sunsigns - A Guide to your Perfect Planetary Partner." And although he did not know it, he was directly on the cusp of astrological fortune.
Mercury the old winged messenger, who blows both hot and cold, was at that exact moment in favourable aspect to Leo in his fourth house, Unconsciously spurred by this, he searches his pockets and discovers $2 in change. The price of the book? $2. A sign!
Book bought, he set off down the boardwalk to read it amid the palm trees and roaring breakers.
It's hard to imagine now how so small a moment, how such an infinitesimal slice of time can ripple ravenously out into the universe but it did, as you will see.

Herr is my own summary
Kennedy has made it this far in school without the help of his father, he's now in final year. His dad wanted him to become a lawyer, but he wanted to become a musician. He applied to study Theater art in school against the wish of his father. His dad has since then refused to take part in catering for his tuition or any other allowances needed for school.
All thanks to his mum who manages to save little from the money she makes from her petty trade and the host of performances that Kennedy do attend.
He found love along the way and they did what lovers do. Abigail is now pregnant for Kennedy but that is the last thing he expected now.
He talked her to aborting it but she told her there was no way to it.
His career depends on him finishing in school. But his he ready to face fatherhood and the responsibilities that comes with it?
He's faced with the dilemma of either quitting school or having to face his father who had vowed never to help him with anything again in life.

Sitting in a stealth helicopter skimming the night-cloaked surface of the Arabian Sea, James Smith knew this would be his last mission.
He was to assassinate the head of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, Amjad Darvish. Darvish's deputy, a long-time US mole, had already laid the groundwork for a coup, and only his boss — a staunch loyalist of the Ayatollah — stood in his way.
The CIA was more than eager to enlist Smith to help move the process along, and had given him ample compensation. More than enough to quit the spy game and live a long, happy, and financially healthy life on a beach in Honduras.
The mission went better than planned and as he stepped onto the tarmac of the aircraft carrier, sighed in relief as he collected his thoughts for the debriefing scheduled for 0400.

Safe in his cabin, he turned on his cellphone to find a text from an unknown number. It was a picture of his wife, her throat slit, with a red-speckled note next to her lifeless body.

Susan decided to stop by the book fair to see if she would find the book and as she entered the building, a man snatched her bag from her and ran out of the building. Tim had seen what happened and so he ran after the man to collect the bag from him. Tim finally caught up with the thief and so they wrestled with each other but Time managed to overpower the thief and so he collected the bag and handed the thief over to security and he returned the bag to Susan. Susan did not recognize Tim as she was still in shock of what happened and did Tim but she thanked him. Susan left the fair in a hurry. "Not again", Tim said to himself as he forgot to collect her mobile number.
Later that evening, Tim got a call from an unknown number and he hoped it was Susan calling but on receiving the call, it was Betty, Tina's best friend who called saying Tina had been kidnapped

John had been sitting in the same place for two hours, still as a corpse, just like the taxi he was driving. His car was a red Dacia Logan and you could tell by its smell that it was brand new. It was John’s pride and joy. He had named it “The Red Fury” and could not stop looking at it, painting a vivid picture in his head of all the urban adventures he would share with Fury. Exactly like a knightly tournament champion riding on his strong and sturdy horse. John sat there, still, about one hundred meters away from the airport exit, near the international flight's gate. He could hear Boeing engines piercing the clouds and would flinched whenever he dozed off. With every whizz of the aircraft engine his hopes would be lifted, his thoughts would flow towards his potential customer and the conversation which would ensue. He would watch the smartly dressed people emerge through the gate and leave in the shinier Taxis. His hopes would crash like a glass into a thousand shards, his mind would be filled with violent images brewing from his anger within.

After the order Naveen restarted the cloak without any second thoughts; he again felt the nausea as earlier but the intensity was much higher; a flash of blue light blinded everybody in the room and all were pulled in air toward the roof.

One day, when she leg through the lobby, there's a group of girls react with annoying demeanour intended mean to make fun of her. But, she doesn't take seriously, she walk through politely ignoring the girls who always never stop mocked her.
Meanwhile reiy passed the lobby, In the mean time, suddenly the roof top lobby falling down over the group of girls which made them swallowed by the tragedy. Reiy was shocked and realized that the girls was vanished burried by the wreckage of roof, at that moment, she scream asking for help meanwhile there's a small sound called her name...

Human extinction was a natural progression from the endless wars waging among mankind. Racial wars, cultural wars, religious wars and finally nuclear wars had ended it all in the name of power, greed and hatred. Nothing came close to saving mankind as the species spiraled down the path of self-destruction. Near the end of the homo sapiens era, humans were like robots, mindless and soulless. Purpose of humans was only to be slaves to the Musoterro race controlled by the Demigops, who overpowered normal human beings by mind control and hypnosis. The Demigops took advantage of human weakness and ignorance.
The Demigops looked like human, but their human soul became rotten and ultimately, lost after it was completely absorbed by sins and malice. These characteristics distinguished the Demigops from normal humans and had put them above their human counterpart giving rise to a separate race, the Musoterro race. The human survivors, known as the Patriots led by their captain Lucifer, lived in small pockets around the world to avoid capture and plan their rebellion in the last battle of the races. Lucifer and his armies had readied themselves for the final battle to save earth.

Jenny was 25- broken, molested, and raped - as she crossed the aisle of her college looking again for re-admissions for the exams she had failed. Let's try again. This is ma proposed summary:
Ernest and Daisy left their cabin in South Surrey, BC at 4PM, with their
self-driving long-haul truck, and drove South crossing the border in 25 minutes.
At 7PM they were at AmerStuff warehouse in Seattle, where a sealed 53 foot
standard container from Costco was loaded on the trailer. The container was
to be delivered to the AmerStuff warehouse in San Fernando, near Los Angeles.
At 7:30PM they already were on the I-5 going south, the truck on auto-pilot.
While driving in Washington State or in California, at least one driver needed
to be in the cabin, but in Oregon, they both could sleep while still driving.
During the three hours that it took the truck to reach Portland, Oregon,
they worked on the Truckoin blockchain, that they both created in 2018,
on top of EOS. After four years, Truckoin had become the main payment platform
for independent truckers as themselves.
After refueling in natural gas in Portland, they were back on the I-5
and they both went to bed.
Shortly before entering California, Ernest was awaken automatically. He sat
into the cabin. Checking his messages, he discover a very worrying communication

Do you, guys, have this feeling from time to time: Fear of Missing Out or FOMO as it is usually called? When you are so deeply involved that you simply can’t choose where to go because you wanna be everywhere?
Sonny is a party boy. That’s what he does best. He parties all night. Monday or Thursday or any given night. He is ready. Remember John Travolta in a Saturday Night Fever, yeah, that’s our Sonny. Only thing is that Sonny does not even have to work - he is on his wealthy parents’ payroll.

There he stood staring at the picture of his wife, lost in thoughts when images of the past years events flashed through his mind. The terrible event was once again played in his memory and it was very fresh as if it just happened. He once again burst into tears wishing his wife were next to him.
He tried to chase the memory out of his head but it kept on playing. The blood, the screams, the pain of a bullet piercing his left arm while trying to protect his wife, the thought of him dying terrified him a lot and he didn't want to go through that event again. While he was still deep in thought he was brought back to reality by the sound of the door being opened. he reached for his desert eagle 9mm pistol and headed towards the door with an intention to kill, when a voice called him "John, where are you". it was Jane his colleague in the office. Supposedly she met the door open and helped herself in with the intention of catching whoever it was that broke into John's house knowing fully well that John doesn't leave his door unlocked.

My summary
"Hurry, take only what you need", She hurried me speaking in whispers. I looked around in panic thinking of what could be missing in my hurriedly parked bag but the thundering of their feet on mother Earth could not allow me search no longer. I climbed through the window and jumped dragging my two year old little so with me. Into the dark forest i ran. I could hear as they break down my door from the distance and I only wished grandma would live to tell the tale.
The night was dark only few stars blinking lazyingly on the sky. My feet hurt but I just had to keep running. The dried crumps of leaves shrieked as I stepped on them. A little more distance and I would be free I said to myself but the weight of my son and my load won't let me run as fast as I wished.
There she is, a voice said from the distance. I turned and saw the village soldiers running angrily towards me with their lamps and angry looking machete. "Oh my God, help me" I cried as I dropped the bag and hurried down the path leading to the river. "If only I can get to the river, if only", tears dropped from my body and I could taste my own blood. The river at last but the bridge is an old bridge and a long distance to the other shore. They could cut it and I'll drown with my son. I quickly dropped Akhan on he bridge and asked him to run.
I watched him run as the machete kissed my back. With a soft landing on the floor I watched as he safely crossed to the other side. At last my soul can rest I peace. I smiled as my eyes shut in death but not before one my glance at the glittering eye of my two year old.
