Steemit Goldbugs - Guess the Gold price on Market closing next Friday, August 31st/ Results of the previous round

Welcome to "Guess the Gold Price"!

Please note: also here the winning will from now on be payed in Steem. At least as long as the reward payout ratio stays as it is now.

Again we saw some weird action on friday, a $ 20 jump back above the $ 1200 line. At the same time the US $ dropped down compared to the Euro, so the Gold price rise in Euro was less dramatic, and its still in the bargain region. I heard some comments (from Schiff, Celente ect) saying its because the US is keeping the interest rate low, and we can expect further increase of metal prices - however, if i've got a $ for each time I heard that, I'd be rich now....

The actual gold price on Friday evening was: $US 1206,10

So the winner of the previous game for Friday the 24th is :
