Helping myself and also the YMCA, Charity shop Silver Spoon \o/

in steemsilvergold •  7 years ago  (edited)

Grabbed this small addition for the stack from a local YMCA charity Shop, Its a small sterling silver spoon bearing the Bournemouth crest, and weighs in at 10g so another 9.25g of Silver bringing the total for 2018 so far to 286.41g or 17.71 percent of my @stackinggoals target, So just a small addition but welcome none the less, more so as it helps the charity as well as my stack :)

The Spoon is hallmarked with the makers mark and the Birmingham anchor and date letter O, I will look the date up later as well as do some research into the maker, for now its part of the stack \o/

Thanks for looking :)

Great catch, I have been looking for a silver spoon, as it provides anti-bacterial properties. Plus an additional 9,25 grams to the stack, but useful for everyday uses, such as Eating.........

Ty for the reply buddy i think i might use it as a jam spoon :)

Works great in peanut butter and yogurt.

I like the idea of having an anual target about acquiring silver and that spoon is a real deal.

Thanks ronaldo :)

awesome. Finding sterling in a thrift shop is the best! and quite often the cheapest way to buy! nice find dude

cheers Elvis \o/

By the style of the letter for Birmingham I date that at 1938-39.
Not seen you on for a week, thought you might become trapped under your silver stack 😁
