Currency at Crossroads: BRICS Alliance's Vision for a Post-Dollar Era

in steemsilvergold •  last year

While I don't doubt that the U.S. dollar will one day fall, it will largely be due to the incompetence of the government, not from a "challenge" from a couple of authoritarian states whose economies are precarious at best and a bunch of countries whose GDP is less than the average state. The U.S. might destroy the dollar but BRICS won't.

First up, hey buddy, long time no interaction. Hows things?

If it were down to government incompetence, the USD would have crashed years ago. Lol

All i do know is that there have been many reserve currencies before the dollar, and im sure there will be many after it. Time will tell, and hopefully we will all still be around to witness it! Its going to be brutal 🤣🤣

Oh, I don't doubt something will one day replace the dollar as a reserve currency. I just don't see it being something from BRICS. Russia's economy is horrible, China has an impressive GDP but they are likely on a downward trajectory (a very poor population, an aging population, and a declining population are all very bad for the economy). Maybe if India can get things going...
