Sometimes we start watching videos on youtube from the silver community and things happen, you walk away and YouTube and their logarithms take over, this can be entertaining and a little wild to see what they tie together.

The other day this happened and we ended up on a very interesting channel for the British Pathe, in the days before TV News was played at the movie theater on a NewsReel
https://www.youtube.com/user/britishpathe
This is an eclectic collection by British Pathé News who signed a major deal to represent Reuters historic footage filmed before 1980. This channel has newsreels from 1910 to 1959 and all the major events in history, it also has a deep catalogue of Documentaries and informative pieces.
The joining of two of the greatest newsreel collections in the world, has more than doubled the content British Pathé has to offer with total number of film items to 208,000 all before 1980. Their website is a great fountain of information.

Well YouTube did their math well and this gem was playing on our TV

This is a great video of the Royal Mint and their process as done in 1956, now we love history and behind the scenes so we really enjoyed this video as it is a traditional 1956 sounding reel .

It was quickly followed on by this 1959 reel on Gold beating (production of Gold Leaf) which did not disappoint.

We hope you enjoyed these entertaining bits of history as much as we did, Thanks for reading and Happy Stacking!
