The American Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States! This coin was first released November 24th 1986. There were approximately 1,446,778 minted that year. The next lowest mintage is 1996 with 3,603,386. I'm still waiting for the mintage numbers to come out on the 2017. It's supposed to be as low as the 1995 if not lower. Just have to wait and see. If anyone knows the exact numbers please leave it in the comments. 
So I picked up a bunch of these at the coin show this past weekend for 18.50 US dollars. What a SCORE!!!
