Hi Steemit

These are the half troy ounce Monarch Egyptian silver rounds. Looks not shiny and a bit toned. Maybe on purpose to make them look more ancient

A closer look at the rounds

@djohan,
Probably they made it in that way with a purpose! As you said, to give ancient look and feel! Then it always mean precious!

Cheers~

thank you theguruasia, yes i think so. And the good thing is you don't need to keep it in capsule and not worry about the change of color

Hi @djohan
Half a troy silver Monarch Egypt, very different from other coins your collection, but I really like it, because it is exactly the same old money. But it is worth it

thank you amuchtar, yes this one is unique and looking ancient, very suitable for the Egyptian design

I am so curious to see which will go to higher multipliers over the next 3 years....silver or something like litecoin?

thank you floridanow. That's really hard to call. Hold both as the multipliers will be over 2x, so it's worth it considering risk/reward.

Magneto would definitely shoot me a couple of these.

thank you kevbot, these ones are good to add on your collections

Very interesting! Who made them and where did you get them?

But, .999 silver is .999 silver, so, how do they make them look "old"?

thank you freedomshift, bought online from different people. They look old if not capsuled as the tone naturally

@djohan..There is a saying

Ancient is gold

Literally meaning that ancient things are precious and the best. So these particular ones are great and unique in their kind.

Are most rounds less than 1 oz American Eagles?

hi manorvillemike, i think 1 oz is the most common weight for silver coins and rounds, but there are half oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, 10 oz, and even 1 kilo coins

Yeah didn't look shiny but these look ancient and unique.
Really beautiful coins.
