Happy #piratesunday everyone!! Today we dive into the tale of Captain K and the Silver Skull of Destiny!! The Captain has made many allies and found new enemies on this adventure. Now after bringing together two of the relic holders in The Lost Sea, The Silver Fairy Queen Savore and the feared and saintly warrior Lady Ravenhill, he has just been shown the course to the next relic. This episode of our tale picks up at the end of @kerrislravenhill awesome account which you can find below.

Its #piratesunday : PRAEDATUM in MUNDO and the adventures of Captain K!

““The Queen walks to a nearby Iron Cabinet and unlocks it. Removing a crystal orb from its resting place and towards a large table with a fresh parchment. She rests the Orb in the middle of the parchment as crimson flames emerge and etch geographical features of some islands, shipping hazards, weather anomalies and vital cartographical bearings. Queen Savore steps back allowing them to examine the map. “Aye, looks like treacherous seas Captain” Goldie exclaims, “According to this I say we’re going south from here.” The Queen replies, “And so this will be your next destination Captain.”” (Excerpt from @kerrislravenhill installment)

Taking out a sketch pad from a pocket Goldie began to quickly sketch down the chart noting all of the hazards.

As the night grew around them everyone settled in for the evening and plans to sail to the south were set. A course was plotted to an island only heard about in fables and said to be unreachable, Hy-Brisil.

Sitting in his quarters Captain K looked at the long journey and the perils that lie ahead. Even after plotting the easiest of course to the island there were still the slamming cliffs and fire rains to deal with. On top of that Emperor Ikanus was still on the hunt for the skull. The same thought ran through his head, could they reach the island if they made it that far? Drifting in and out of sleep as he stared at this chart; a glimmer from his bag caught his eye. The Captain walked to his bag and pulled out a piece of silver he had been given by an old friend. He chuckled to himself and said that’s one problem out of the way.

As the morning light broke, Captain K handed his first mate D a list of items to place aboard the Dragons Fire. Looking at the list D asked “Sir what do we need 15 bellows, barrels, 150 feet of tubing, and 7 crates of sand for?” Captain K answered “think of it as being prepared for all possible outcomes my friend.” As they loaded the Dragon Fire Captain K and the crew all said farewell to the Silver Queen Savore and Lady Ravenhill, whom had decided to stay behind to protect the Isle of Skye.

Once aboard first mate D instructed the men to hoist the sails and set course south toward the slamming cliffs. Posting NoName in the crows nest the men sailed for hours waiting for sight of the cliffs. As they came into sight NoName yelled down to make the crew aware that the time had come. Captain K then began instructing them to bring the large bellows onto the main deck and place several facing the sails with enough tubing to rig up so that their air would go directly into the sails. He then had them put several bellows facing toward the back of the ship with enough tubing to reach the water. As the Dragon Fire got closer and closer to the cliffs the sound of them slamming into one another was becoming clearer and clearer. Relieving NoName from the crows nest Captain K began to time the period between slams.

He could see his men getting nervous and yelled to First Mate D to ready the crew. Ordering the men to take their positions at the bellows D waited for his Captains order. “Slow our approach!” Captain K screamed to him. D looked at Khamen who was at the helm as he proceeded to slow the ship. Counting to himself as the cliffs reached their fully open state, Captain K ordered to his First Mate “now!” First Mate D screamed “push men push!!” With those calls the crew began to push on the bellows as hard and fast as possible. Listening to their captain and his first mate repeatedly yell push as they tried to keep up. The tubes leading to the sails began to push the ship forward faster and faster, while those in the water helped accelerate it even further. Sir Bentley with all his speed and power jumped from bellows to bellows pumping air into the sea. Looking fearless from the crows nest Captain K kept counting out lout hoping the speed would be enough. The other side of the channel came into sight as they continued to fight their way through. The sound of the cliffs closing in could be heard like an alarm of the danger that was there. As the bow of the Dragon Fire forced its way into the open water the sound of stone grinding on wood could be heard as the cliffs clipped the stern-castle of the ship. Captain K breathing a sigh of relief yelled down to the crew “Damage report.” After a few moments, DOC informed him that the ship was still in working order and only had minor exterior damage to the hull. He then called Captain K’s attention to three ship in the distance behind the Dragon Fire. “Sir, they have been following since the cliffs and they seem to be flying the banner of Ikanus.

As Captain K received the news he began to smile, which confused DOC. “Sir, why are you happy about this?” Captain K quickly retorted “I doubt that they are prepared for the fire rains and whats to come! Full speed ahead gentlemen lets show them who they are dealing with and why we are legends!” With the Captains yell the pirates scrambled to ready for battle and prepare as their Captain had already instructed them to for the fire rain.
