An interesting JM Find

in steemsilvergold •  7 years ago

I'm not overly stuck on the subject matter, a silver round commemorating the wedding of Lady Diana and the Prince of Wales in 1981. Sure, this event was likely very special and elegant however not really my collecting cup of tea.

What drew me to this one was the fact it was made by one of my favourites - JM! I have many of their bars, some old vintage stuff and some newer stuff....but this is my first coin/round from them! This is also the first one I've bought that is sterling silver which is kinda neat.

An interesting find that I was unaware of, JM made a set of 3 coins for this event!

This set featured a 14K gold coin, .925 silver coin and copper-nickel medallion.

Anyone here collect JM rounds/coins!??

Lady Diana Spencer was a beautiful woman. I always check, first thing Monday mornings, for JM Bullion's weekly sales. Some are great sales.

Nice coins but Charles looks a bit weird lol! i prefer the front of the coin :)

LOL i completely agreee!

great collectabel coins you got there, you can always find D fans that will gobble them up..

The faces look like a school kid designed it!! Hahaha. It's definitely a talking piece and I've never seen a set like that before. Nice find
