There we go, I started with 1 oz, and ended up with less than an ounce, lol. Whatev's still cool.

Cheers everyone, I've got a 10k bar pour post coming up, maybe tomorrow, so stay tuned!

I've never worked with any metals, but as a pyro since an early age, that looks super cool!

Thanks. Its pretty enjoyable so far, I've only done a couple silver pours, and I still have a bunch more practice, before I make anything too great I think..

Gotcha. Yeah I'd imagine it'd be a pretty delicate operation. That silver looks beautiful either way :-D. Good luck with your practice!

Awesome! so much fun! Thanks for sharing your journey!

Thanks Dixie. It is fun for sure!

Cool beans E!

👍 might not be financially, the best thing I could do with perfect good bars or rounds, but, with scrap jewelry it's below spot, should be OK. And it's pretty fun melting stuff!

i would like to try my hand at it. And for now at least, you got a good bit of working material
😎👍

Well, that sucks that you're losing grams, but you're learning and that's important. Looking forward to your 10 oz pour.

Its a bit of fun as well, and that's important. If I can find some molding clay, I can try to make different shapes maybe.

I am curious about the 10oz pour ...

One step at a time, I may need more fire and a bigger crucible for that!!

Is it typical to lose silver when melting to pour?

I think a bit stuck on the edge of the crucible. Next time I may do a bit better, it's only my third attempt!
