The only problem with this, is it's 100% fake. Fake cash fake gold... The wood board is real though.

I saw these on a popular Chinese company's site and figured for a couple bucks, I'd like to see how good the fakes are getting. I think I paid $3.00 Canadian for the coin and cash stack total, shipping included.

The cash, well it's prop cash, looks real enough on stage or film.

The AGE is pretty good looking. I could tell it was fake just by holding it. But here's the problem, its pretty convincing, and these things are out there. Even fake Morgan dollars, that have very really toning, wear and patina. They look old. So pay attention, new stackers. Invest and carry neodymium magnets, a scale as a minimum, and always try to buy from reputable dealers. I really don't want anyone to get burned on a deal.

Cheers everyone,

Fake stuff is all over the place. I love the designs of the old Chinese and Japanese coins but uncertified I’d never buy them. They are expensive in average condition and are the number one counterfeited coins in the world because of this. We don’t hear much about it because the demand for them in the US is practically non existent.

It's aweful. And not just coins. In Beijing, You can buy a fake Gucci jacket, fake RayBan glasses, fake Benchmade buyout knife, go to a car dealer and buy a fake BMW X5! And the fakes are getting very convincing.

1 of these is real one is a clone.

Ridiculous

Nice Federal Reserve Notes @fat-elvis

They aren't too much more fake than the ones you folks use I think too. Hopefully they are "real" enough looking for some pranks.

Today, not even PCGS or NGC certified coins are 100% originals because the Chinese has been faking the slabs and, unless you are a slab and seals expert, you will never know if it is a real one...

And they are using actual gold and silver to produce some high end coins. So even a spectrum test can't tell what's real. It makes me nervous about buying privately, that's for sure.

What is 'patina'?

HAaahahahaha! You're a nut Fat E!!!! One could get themselves into trouble right quick with that stack!!
I remember when ebay first started I ended up with a fake box set of Star Trek: TNG that would not play on my dvd player. FAK!!!

Everyone has an angle @fat-elvis, so sad, but so true! Thanks for the post, there might be one person that stops before they take the hook on a fake!
