Lazy Sunday woohoo and still sorting

in steemsilvergold •  7 years ago

So it is Sunday and just a little post about a silver badge.

This badge is made from sterling silver and it's origins appear to be WWI and features the emblem and inscription for the Lancashire fusilers. It has blue enamel finish but this has started to wear away and there are no fixings on the rear but this adds a little charm.

Let's make silver trending again.

Cool. That's a cap/beret badge if I'm not mistaken, and maybe pre-ww1?? Being it's all sterling and not brass, like most were? Or maybe an officer's or NCO's cap badge? Very interesting anyways!

It is not really my area of expertise but I do find them cool, i currently have about 50 in a display case on my stall. All those are brass, and bring a fair amount of interest
