This is more a general question why does it seem my posts are not getting any upvoted and pennies where other people seem.tonessioy get 5 dollars in hours and nice size payouts I'm not complaining but just wondering suggestion.greatly appreciated

I still haven't cracked the code yet but I've been trying to resteem new #steemsilvergold posts anytime I'm on. I upvote too but my upvote isn't worth anything really. Slow but steady wins the race I suppose, I try to comment lots as well in the hopes that someone might check out my posts but those are usually buried in resteemed haha. My advice is dont use blurry pics bud. If you're pics aren't right you won't pull anyone in. And no excuses you know I have a shit phone and still manage. Also you gotta make sure your spellings on point before u upload. Noones gonna reward you for a post of just 1 blurry pic, 20 words and alot of typos. I'm saying that because were cool and i want u to do well. I'm not just being a dick KK. ..Also i just noticed your tags are screwed too. You're showing a silver coin so "silver" should be a tag, "minnow" is spelled wrong and "earning" isn't gonna get you any looks. Follow your tags and see if any other posts are even there?..if not than chances are noones gonna be there to see em. This was all good advice but I'm still sucking too bud but we'll get there..or we won't no biggie. Half my lil earnings are from myself for buying randowhales and upgoats. Hang in there son!

@kevinkarron It seems hard for us new folks to get noticed. I wrote a post a couple of hours ago and it got 5 upvotes. In my feed, directly above your post, there is someone who put a photo of their cat. It got 41 upvotes in under an hour. No thought or anything, just a cat picture. I took photos, cropped, played with the lighting, researched online, and so far have got a penny.

I do think @goldenarms has left some great feedback. Paying attention to the little things will really help to ensure you are publishing good content that people like. Everyone starts slow, all my first posts flopped and I spent looks of time coming up with really great posts. Leaving good thought provoking and insightful comments can really help people to take interest and start following you. A lot of the payouts your are seeing from others are from the voting bots (including mine). There are lots of other great communities here as well, to help make friends and grow your following, be yourself and find what your interested in. I made a post about this a week ago as well, check it out. I didn't get much into content creation, but of course that is most important.

Because steemit is still very new, there are just over 300k account worldwide and about 2k active users a day, this will increase and its those building it now with good content that will benefit in the long term.
I invested £100 into buying steem and powering up to give myself a small head start, my vote is worth £0.02 above 90% power and $0.01 under which means i have a tiny amount of power to add something to the pot and hopefully i will be able to grow it from here and because i add something to the pot i will get a tiny curation return and it will add up to give me more power and so on, when more stackers and the like join and power up the payouts will just get greater and greater but we need to power up and increase numbers, it will take time.
Im enjoying this platform and think steem will skyrocket so im happy to invest a small amount of money to take part, if i wanted to spend my time on playstation games i would have to buy a playstation and purchase the games i want to play, i want to play this game so i see it as i have purchased a couple of games, over 6 months i plan to buy 500 steem to get to the next level.
