Tonight, I have a question for the community. I am looking to expand the sites that I can order precious metals from. I currently have a Jaxx wallet and am very happy with it, but many of the sites require a Bitpay or other compatible wallet. I have placed an order in the past with SilverGoldBull and have been very happy with the products, but I am looking to other sites with a wider selection. This mainly applies to Apmex for right now because I was thinking about buying some old Middle Eastern coins for a relative that is really into history for their birthday in a couple of months, but I need to figure out this Bitpay wallet to do so.

So my question for all of you is what wallet do you use to order from sites like Apmex? Are some better than others or have lower fees? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for stopping by!

I have Jaxx and Bitpay on my phone. Bitpay works when Jaxx doesn't sometimes. Like for sending to an ATM or sweeping a BTC paper wallet, Bitpay seems to work better for some reason.

Yeah, that is what I have seen. I was looking at a few options because I was thinking about ordering from Apmex. It may not hurt to just have a Bitpay wallet just in case. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

Bitshares DEX. Though it doesn't have big volume for trading I find it to work quite well for the few coins accepted by the (even fewer) businesses that accept crypto!
I've sent bitcoin for payment to jm bullion and to the ledger copany for the ledger nano s hardwallet! Also sent litecoin to silvergoldbull and I used litecoin from my bitshares wallet to order the steem silver round this year. They also have steem and SBD, it's where I bought most of my steem.
Bitshares wallet rocks! If you want to go that way and need help getting started, let me know!

Alright cool! I will definitely look into this and I maybe hitting you up if I have problems. I have yet to get into the exchanges and is probably something I should learn soon. Thanks @summertooth!

Sure thing. Being a decentralized exchange is a big plus for me. I hold the private key to my wallet, not the exchange. From what I understand (not much) Bitshares has lots of features but I use it mostly for the wallet and sometimes as an exchange. So don't let all the different tutorials and videos drive you crazy. If you just sign up you will have a wallet that you can transfer bitcoin to, to then transfer to a store. You could also transfer steem or SBD and turn it into a different coin to pay for something. Just let me know...
