Coin roll hunting is a no loss, except for time and gas, method of finding silver cheap. I used to do it quite a bit and had some success but over time I found less and less silver in any rolls. I almost always hunted half dollar rolls because they were usually less circulated thus less chance of the silver finding it's way into collectors hands.

These are a few pics of a very successful hunted box.

I really love seeing those silver bands popping out among the copper. If I found 6 in one roll I probably would have been rolling on the floor like a kid at Christmas.

my son did a lot of this. He found a roll with all silver. The box ended up with $1200 in silver when silver was $22 per ounce. He couldn't believe it. Some guys grand pa was probably pissed when he found his coins missing.

I bet so. I have gone to my local bank to hunt through rolls. Never been able to find private collection that someone wanted to get rid of.

Exchanged about $700 and found about 4 coins. Not great, but better than nothing.

I've tried this in the past, now that my daughter is a little older and she is showing interest in growing her own stack I think we will try again! Thanks for the post. Upvoted and following!

I've never had much luck searching rolls. A few 40% silver halves from time to time. I think if I found just one Franklin in a roll, I'd think it was Christmas morning.
Nice finds and thx for shring the photos... following and upvoted.
