Shutdown blues

Good morning Fellow Steemians and SSG brothers and sisters!

I thought I would drop by with a little silverporn for you! Work is good and I'm still very busy. In the last 5 weeks, I've had 3 days off and I'm getting exhausted but we are putting the plant back together piece by piece...I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel! I don't have any new pieces from my LCS yet, not enough hours in a day but I have a few photos kicking around that I didn't have a chance to post yet.

Winter finally decided to let it's grip go on the northern prairies and it's finally warming up, the days are getting longer, things are looking up! Summer will be here in no time especially since when I blink, an entire day or week goes by...it's hard to tell sometimes, all the days are starting to blend in at this point. 😕 Working night shift takes a toll after a while but I very much enjoy it, from my 161 ft perch, I get to watch the sun set over my city every evening and the sunrise when I leave work. 2 birds with one stone... right! Some of the simple things life as to offer can so beautiful and colorful. Honestly, I don't know how I go from couch potato to climbing so much with ease but man oh man every inch of my body aches by now, I think I just go on autopilot at this point. Besides , I'm going to be ripped and in shape to go trecking in the mountains some more after all the ladder climbing I have been doing! I can't wait ( I need a break for my muscles to recover first so don't get too excited)

My stackitus is flaring up and I can't do much about it for now, possibly not for another week, maybe longer. The only thing I know for sure is that I don't get a day off until it's all over and get laid off, a bit depressing since it's been 2 weeks already since my last day off...As mentioned above, time flies around here, maybe I can blink again and that day will come in no time. I'm going to be like a bull in a china shop when I get to visit my LCS again...getting ready for a big blowout and make up for loss time again. On my bucket list will be a golden version of the queen's dragon and maybe some other beasts in the 2 oz silver, I really want to build at least one set of them since new ones have come out this year, all great additions to any stack. Hopefully when I come home from the LCS or a good old fashion unboxing when my order comes in from the online dealer, I'm not quite decided yet where I will have my blowout, could potentially a bit of column A and a bit of column B. Either way I hope it looks like this with a few gold coins in the mix:

Also on my bucket list of spring loot, I would like some more old random 1oz bars that I might spy with my pirate eye.

Well, It's getting late and I'm probably passed my bed time now, I will leave you with one last picture,Seemed like yesterday I was freezing in -30 outside( just a couple of weeks ago really...) and now it's summer weather in the daytime . My Orchid is blooming again and I was too busy to notice until I came home from work. Is spring really here to stay?

You seem very focused toward your goals, in life, a work balance, and toward your finances. This will pay off in the long run, keep up the good work. Enjoy the summer as much as you can because I believe this summer will be a short one and all signs point to winter returning earlier this fall, sooner than normal. Thanks @ladybug146

Short summer! oh no! That's ok I get most of the summer off, why I work so hard in the spring and fall. Get to enjoy my summer and focus more on my photography. I'm one extreme to the next, I guess that's my balance. I have learned some hard lessons young, a blessing in disguise that is the root that has helped me see different strategies in life. Thanks for stopping by 😁

Always a balance to everything, live life like it's your last day. Seems like your on the right track.

I have severe food allergies that keeps me aware of my mortality, any meal could be my last...I suppose it keeps me living each day like it's my last.

I remember from my summers in Jasper just being shocked at how long the sun stays up. Pretty soon you won’t have night shift so much as a twilight shift with a little bit of dark in the middle. 😄

Hope you get a decent bit of rest soon. Safe climbing!

yeah in the summer the sun stays up forever here, I live even more north in Edmonton so we get even longer days, on the longest day, you can see daylight until close to 11 pm and begins to rise again around 4 am but in the winter it's brutal the shortest day might have 5 hours of sunlight. I used to work in a northern camps in the winter, it was even worse! That's why it gets so cold here, no sun. Thanks for stopping by!

Woow friend, I did not know that, that few hours with sun. Thanks for the content every day we learn something new.

Now that is why I early retired!

Well, early retirement is my plan. Obviously it's not for quite a while yet but building up to it. Thanks for stopping by xox

Thanks for the story and the photos. The Queen's Beast series is a must have, be it the 2oz ones, the 10oz ones or the gold ones.

They are a beauty, all of them. I want a 10 oz at some point, probably the dragon. Thanks for stopping by :)

Kudos to you for keeping an orchid alive! No nay never no nay never has an orchid survived @handofara. Be good and more importantly be safe!

haha really? but your the one with the green thumb! it keeps itself alive. The trick is to water it like once every 2 weeks and keep it in a sunny location. I've had this orchid for probably close to 7 years, it blooms 2-3 times a year.

Wow! Seven years that is fantastic. As to the "green thumb", I live in the bright sunny South, the plants literally grow on their own, I have to seriously try to kill them.

haha lucky, my backyard is like tundra, nothing grows there even if I tried. Only indoor plants thrive here.
