My small hand Poured Silver Collection! :)steemCreated with Sketch.

Good Morning Everyone I hope you are having a great day! These photos are of my tiny poured silver collection that i have collected over the past year. As much as i love hand poured i dont have much because on a small budget im all about getting the most weight for my money to help establish my small stack. But whenever i see it at a good price i cant resist. I have experimented pouring my own silver, in which i get really inspired by natural organic texture. Iv'e got several more ideas that i will be trying soon :)
This post is my entry into @phelimint 's contest for the #steemsilvergold community
'Show us Your Poured Silver'. Other participants in the contest are @goldenarms @raybrockman @kevinkarron @theswede and many more.

These first photos are of sterling silver pieces that i poured at home.

These four pieces were cast into seaweed as a mold.

Sterling isn't easy to pour because it cools much faster than .999

The leathery Seaweed produces a really cool textured, cratered surface.

More experiments with casting natural texture, the ones either side were cast on cuttlefish.

This nuggety piece was cast into a thick blanket of moss.

Very nice! I keep telling myself that I have to get more poured pieces! That silverbugs space bar is Awesome...:)

Thanks for checking in bud yes you should get some more poured pieces its nice to play with :)

Love the seaweed poured, very nice buddy.

Thanks ray i would like to try it with some .999 it would pick up more of the detail. need a place to work tho my missus was getting a bit pissed at me doing it on top of the cooker :)

Very creative! Those pieces look awesome in sterling I can't wait to see you pour some 999! It'll be like child's play for you! Best of luck in the contest, you've definitely got some original pieces! 👍

thanks timi i glad you liked them, i need a better camera to really pick up the detail they are pretty crazy to look at in hand :)

Wow! That's all I can say man. Those seaweed pours are so creative and awesome. What a fun idea, can't wait to see what else you do in the future.

Really glad you liked them bud just need to set up a workstation to make it easy to pick up and go rather than setting everything up every time .

Really cool! Do you use a forge or how do you heat the silver, I have a few ounces of scrap sterling but I couldn't get the crucible hot enough with propane, i thought maybe I should use acetylene torch?

i need to upgrade my equipment i only got a handheld butane torch, only melts less than an oz and takes a little while but just about works for small pours, propane is meant to be ok if your using a big ass burner! check out 925stacker on youtube he has got it nailed! :)

Thanks, ill check that out

Cool project Owen! I'd like to pour some silver too... gots to kearn me some nee skills.

I happened upon this post and became instantly intrigued by some of the pieces in the pics! I am inspired to look through some of my collections now. Cheers!

Very cool! Those first ones looked very cool, poured in seaweed! You've got a great imagination.

Thanks bud my heads full of weird and wonderful ideas :)

Oh wow. I started buying silver too to keep it aside about 2 years back but now I couldn't afford it. Hopefully later when I earn more here in Steemit I could afford to set some aside again.

thanks for having a look @littlenewthings , you should definately try and pick up some more when you can. lots of people think the price is about to explode because its getting hard for the price manipulators to keep control of the market :) followed you

Thanks for the following @owenwat ! I too hope that I can save enough before the price explodes.

just get a little at a time it all helps :)

These are awesome. Seaweed coins look great with craters. Did you create these yourself? Can you create a post on how to do this? Do you start with a basic silver round?

yes i made them using scrap 925 that i collected before i knew what stacking was, i will make a post yeah! ill have to go and find some nice seaweed first i might have to wait for a storm :)

Very nice collection, good luck!

thanks bud!

Some cool looking sculptures, I will look forward to your next work of art.

I'd love to be able to make my own Rounds of Silver and Gold...

I better keep that under my hat... lol...
