Sea-Glass and Silver

in steemsilvergold •  7 years ago  (edited)

This morning was beautiful sunshine and a low tide, so I made the most of it and grabbed my metal detector! Unfortunately when I got to the beach and switched it on the batteries were dead! Grrrrr. Luckily I still had a silver coin in my coat pocket from the other day so I made the most of it and had a little photoshoot. I love finding Sea-Glass it's beautiful stuff when it's old and smooth with colours from the past. Each piece unique and semi-precious!

This is the new .999 Silver Round (Time.Emit) from Chautauqua Silver Works that i got from phelimint recently. It is a beautiful design that follows suit with the rest of the T.I.M.E Series that I plan on getting soon. They have a stunning proof-like finish and distinct styling, with cool messages portrayed within the designs!

These rounds are designed by Ron Kinney. The T.I.M.E. Series was Ron's first major release and they have been very popular with a mintage of about 10000. Each round depicts a metaphorical representation of Time, with deep and layered meaning.

This round finally reveals that T.I.M.E. represent the "The Increment Measure Existence". On the other side T.I.M.E. is reversed with E.M.I.T. which is an acronym for "Existence Measured in Theory". With there Out of this World symbolism these philosophical statements really make you ponder.

"It's a two-headed coin, and whichever side comes up Time is the winner. Look at all five long enough, and your mind is going to bend. Jim Croce tried to save "Time in a Bottle," but this is time saved in silver for real." (Peter Grant) from phelimint website.

My family and I love looking for sea glass. It's something we do anytime we are near the water. I'll have to post some pics of our finds some time. Thanks for sharing.

Red is the rarest and used gold to make it, so it was valuable stuff, ive never found purple or orange tho, so they are rarest in my opinion! i love 1600's black glass too :)

I was taking a long look at this round a few days ago on the Phelimint site... Cool design for sure, looks great out there on the beach!

the fact its double obverse is a bonus like 2 coins in 1 :)

That’s a cool round. I was going to pick one up but never did. Cool picks. All i have to look at is the snow. Lol
