First New Silver pickups in a while, been spending all my coin budget on STEEM.steemCreated with Sketch.

I finally got some new silver in this great trade last week. I've been wanted to get some US Junk/Constitutional Silver for a while but it's not a plentiful in Canada as it is down south. It's easy enough to buy online but I do like finding the items I want from a private sale or trade, or maybe a dealer or show. It keeps some more excitement for me and you can often find better prices or deals.

That's what happened with these. We had a comment on one our Temptation of the Succubus post on Facebook and a potential customer asked if we would consider a trade. Since I'm a big collector of course I'd be fine trading. I just buy the round from my mint then trade with the customer therefore, we get a sale and I get more silver I want.

This guy in particular was awesome to trade with, he said he was more of a coin collector then a silver stacker so I asked if he had any US junk silver and what the value would be. He was able to put together a full type set of US junk silver as well as a full type set of US currency (minus a few current ones and rare ancient ones). He said the value was more than the single round so I added a 89 Maple Leaf in original RCM wrap, a 1/10 oz silver round, and older silver Canadian 50cent piece and a few of the older Canadian commemorative coins. We were both super happy with the trade so it worked out great.

Not sure if you can see what's there's so I took a few closer photos as well.

I'm really excited about the Peace dollar and the Morgan. I see so many online and was always disappointed I didn't have any. The other coin I was really excited about was the mercury dime. I really like the designs of that one, it seams so out of place with all the founding fathers and dead presidents. I was and still am, a big penny collector so always hoped to find an Indian head penny in my searching so I was very excited that he added one of those as well. Overall I'm very happy with this trade. I'll put it in album sleeves with my other coin collection and I'll always have it together to admire with the memories of the trade.

I also did a full unboxing video on YouTube if you want to see some better shots and listen to me ramble a bit along the way.

Very Nice Trade! Love me Peace's and Morgan's...

US Junk/Constitutional Silver is one of the most reasonable way to stack silver. Valuable, interesting, historical, etc...

Amazing collection. I've never been able to decide between rounds and plain silver stacking. Need to get in though.

woosh

It's nice to see that there is still free trade between Canada and the U.S.! You acquired quite the collection of coinage and it sounds like a great deal both ways around!

These are some beautiful coins. I'm holding on to quite a few similar coins from my late grandmother. I always wondered why do the quarters (i.e. standing liberty) always seem to wear the most of the various US coins from way back then (mine are all worn)?

Do you think all the gold/silver shops that pop up and offer money for coins, then go and melt them, will over time help make our coins more rare and valuable? Or am I dreaming, I'm no expert in this area!

Nice little score! You got a little bit of everything.

Let this sink in.....this used to be actual currency! There was a time when every quarter, dime, half dollar and silver dollar in your pocket was actual silver!!! Just imagine!

@phelimint got you a $1.28 @minnowbooster upgoat, nice!

I just sold some indian head pennies, I would have just given them to you!
Great U.S. dollars.

Upvoted you and still love the constitutional silver you got out of this trade. It is really awesome that you even considered working out a trade for a round from your mint! It is great to see people working together to make a good trade on both ends happen and that is what the community is about. Thanks for sharing!
