WHATS WRONG?

#steemsilvergold, don't think that @silvergoldbotty will get you where you want to be, when it comes to this platform. Yes she will be a great help to us and you might even make a few cents.

There are currently over 80 memebers in our tag. Hell we have our own steem silver coin being produced right now, we have our own vote bot,WE ARE A BIG DEAL!! All of these things will not make us a great tag. There is only one thing that will!

SUPPORT

This has been an issue since the tag was started. We don't support everyone like we should, I know that I am sometimes guilty of it. But it takes votes and comments. We should never have a post with our tag on it with 2 votes, I mean come on there are over 80 of us.

UPVOTING

How many upvotes do you give out in a day? If it isn't atleast 10 then your wrong. In the past 6 days I have handed out 134 upvotes to the group, this does not include any comments that I upvote. And speaking of upvoting comments, do you know that your curation rewards (FREE STEEM) will be larger if you upvote comments, remember curation is 25% of the payout and is split between everyone that upvoted. Well hell there is only one person normally upvoting comments. This would mean that you wouldn't have to share the curation reward with anyone else.

Guys and Gals we need to do a better job at upvoting. We have to stop the 2 vote post. Thats not us, thats not what we are about. We are a rare group of people that believe, that can see the light. Surlely we can see whats going on in our own tag.

I WILL comment to 200 upvotes per week to this tag.

we need to fix this issue before it gets worse. This tag is for us, lets make it the best damn tag on this platform.

I am currently experimenting with steemvoter to do some auto-votes for the best authors. Can I call for some nominations of who the top 10 posters are in the #steemsilvergold group and I'll set up some extra votes for them. It won't be much but it will be something to get behind.

Thanks Ray. I try to visit @steemsilvergold daily, and I try to comment on as many posts as I can.

I've muted the one guy who run those "Guess Where XYZcoin Will Close Today" contests. I'm tired of his spam and I though about starting a post asking him to leave, but I didn't think it was my place to regulate the group.

I also try to avoid posts that do nothing but repost other people's work. If all you are going to do is throw up a Dave Morgan or Robert Kirby YouTube video, I'm not really interested. There are a few of those guys and I've muted them as well.

Posts that get bitten by the Cheetah are not usually upvoted either!

If you want to show off your stack, or start an interesting conversation, I'm more than happy to throw you an upvote!!!

Since i got the slider, i find that i can upvote more posts and alot more comments. I know its worth less but it's still a vote. It's like every group, people will come and go but we will have a core. Of the 80 members, i see 30-40 active. Keep in mind that membership list is only a few weeks old as well from the bot picked the members using content filters.
I am 100% behind you with the upvoting each other's posts and comments. I will start with my own posts and everyone who leaves a comment will get a min of a 2 cent upvote, not much but thats what i can offer and stay above 90% power. I already drop 10-15 upvotes on posts everyday, just not comments.
Great post Ray, you do plenty for the group and i thank you for your time :)

I do enjoy a good ol upvote, i keep trying to get my voting power bar up but as soon as it gets over 70% im voting like a nutter, my plan is to keep above 80% but ive never seen 80% before the voting temptation takes hold. But its in all our interests to support each other, the steemsilvergold pool will only be as good as we all make it

Great post, raybrockman!! I make a commitment to do my part as well. I think we have a great and unique community here and we all want it to be successful.

I've also been posting on some of the more YouTube Silver channels encouraging them to join Steemit, but in particular #steemsilvergold. Without sounding spammy.

Upvoted. I like where your head is at! However, being a juvenile minnow, I'd very much appreciate a more complete explanation on all the tools available to this group. Also, what exactly do you mean by "our tag" did we create it, or just standardize on it? I think I have too many questions... whatever though, I'm ready to upvote and support!

Yes that tag was created by a member. Ask me any question you need to.

I agree. Membership is a privilege and requires support. Freeloading is not an option. As Ray said, anything less than giving your 10 free votes, even if some of them are to yourself, is below the correct threshold.

We also need a way to prioritize our feed, but until then just
check the tag I guess. Good time to cull some follows, I have
almost 20% more follows than followers. My Fault!
