This coin was minted in commemoration of the crowning of our present King Willem Alexander in 2013.

The coin has a nominal value of 10 Euro. It is made out of 925 silver, weighs 25 grams and has a diameter of 38 mm. The coin (proof) has a mintage of 12,500 pieces.

I can enjoy the fabrication of this coin, both front and backside.
Although not very good to see on this picture, but the people standing on the backside of the coin are very sharply detailed.

A great achievement by the Royal Dutch Mint.

The story behind this coin is that I bought 2 of these for my two sons, so actually they are not mine.
On of them took the coin out if its capsule and started playing with it, which of course in not preferable to a prooflike coin. So I took it back, told him why, which he did understand. I placed it in a different capsule. Fortunately there is no real damage to the coin as you can see.

Enjoy!!
