In 1988 the XV Olympic Winter Games were held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The RCM minted, among other coins, this gold $100 honoring the Games.
It weights 13.34g with 7.78g of gold and 5.56g of silver, in Proof finish. The mintage was 145,175 coins with issue price of CAN$255.00.
The reverse depicts a hand carrying the Olympic Torch. The flame represents the Rocky Mountains.
The scratches are on the capsule, not on the coin.

Friend, can you explain how/why there is silver & gold in the same coin?

At that time RCM usually minted gold coins with 90% gold and 10% copper. However, and I don't know why, some of the gold coins used this gold/silver proportion. For example, the whole series of 12 coins commemorating the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
I will go there.

That's a really nice coin. Like @john-robert said, odd to see a coin with Gold and Silver. Thanks for sharing another beautiful coin.

I find it odd that a coin isn't 999 gold. Jewelry is often a combination of gold and silver but I guess coins can be too.
