# 62 - $1 Canadian Commemoratives - Part 4

in steemsilvergold •  6 years ago  (edited)

This is Part 4 of our series "$1 Canadian Commemoratives".

We will show you the coins issued in 1982,1983 and 1984.

They weight 23.3g with silver purity of 50%. From now on all the commemoratives of this series were issued with Brilliant Uncirculated finish or Proof finished.

The coins that I will show are all with Proof finish.

The 1982 is the "Regina Centennial", issued to commemorate the centennial of the founding of Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1882. The issue price was CAD$15.25 with 577,959 sold.

The 1983 is the "World University Games", issued to commemorate the World University Games held in Edmonton, Alberta, during July of that year. The issue price was CAD$16.15 with 340,068 sold.

The 1984 is the "Toronto Sesquicentennial", issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Toronto in 1834. The issue price was CAD$17.50 with 571,563 sold.

The place we’re going Tuesday has shelves and shelves of this sort of stuff. Ooooh can’t wait!!!
😁😁😁

I brought from Brazil a list of coins that are missing in my collection. I hope I find some there, with reasonable prices. It will be fun!

The guys are very, very knowledgeable and friendly. And they seem to enjoy undercutting Joe at J&M. To my eye, the place, though smaller, is much more a “coin shop” than J&M, and less expensive too. He also does stamps and paper money (just fyi).

Place is called Western coins & stamp (Granville & No. 3 rd.)

...there’s also a VBCE and a “Richmond” version of Van Gold all within easy walking distance from skytrain. 👍

Is it easier for you to meet me there or at the Starbucks? To me it is the same.

Starbucks is great. And easy. It’s a 15min ride only out to Richmond, and then just a couple blks to build up an appetite 😁👍🍔

Done.
