Starting in 1999 the US Mint issued a 10 years program that honored each of the nation’s states in the order that they ratified the Constitution or were admitted into the Union. They chose the $.25 coin to be the vessel of the homage.
All the coins obverses show the same profile of George Washington and the reverses were usually chosen in popular contests in each state.
All the coins that I am presenting here are NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo with 90% silver purity and weight of 6.3g.
Continuing the series, today's first coin is the 2000 "New Hampshire". It features a natural rock formation known as “The Old Man of the Mountain.” Unfortunately, the formation crumbled several years after the quarter’s release.
The second is the 2000 "Virginia". It features three ships bringing settlers to Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement in America. The quarter is meant to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the settlement in 2007.
The third is the 2001 "New York". It features the Statue of Liberty. As one of the most recognized symbols in the country, this was an easy choice for the design.
This series will continue very soon.
I hope you have enjoyed this article.

In 2013 I paid $49 for the New Hampshire, $35 for the Virginia and $43 for the New York. You can find today's prices on Ebay.

It is always nice to see a silver coin in perfect state. The ones I have are a little bit worn off because they are old and were used as currency :)

That seems like a very good way to Stack Silver and Collect U.S. Coinage, all rolled into one...
You may want to look into the Presidential $1 Coins... I like them by the roll... 25 to a roll...

Huh I didn't realize they had made versions of the new quarters that are 90% silver...I might have to start my own collection of these in the near future. I've been more into coins lately than bars and need to balance my collection a bit more towards things like these quarters (and I need to start adding some gold too).
