Pocket Silver Challenge vs Naga Chilli Plant

in steemsilvergold •  7 years ago

Today i introduced my pocket silver coin, the Santa Maria, to my Naga chilli plant. Unfortunately my plant doen't live with me as my house has nowhere to grow it so it is being fostered by my girlfriends mum in her conservatory, i only get to see him every couple of weeks but i make the most of our time together, we have a sing, a good chat and i like to show him my silver coins and on one occasion we danced.

The brave Rwanda Nautical ounce climbed up to the highest branch to look down on the world from a great height, the Naga plant has survived a cold winter and is looking strong and ready for some nicer weather, but will i get a harvest? oh i hope so, last year i got quite a haul of naga chillis last year and ooooh they were tasty, had curries and salt and pepper chicken, i even put some on cheese on toast, yum yum yum.

The pocket piece is playing peep a boo, hiding in the plant, can you spot the flowers that are starting to produce the naga chillies? there is a green and a red one i can see starting to pop out, oh i cant wait. In the supermarkets here in the UK you get a choice of Jalapeno and Birdseye chillies and we just never get any other offerings, its not just about the heat of the chillies its about the taste, the Naga has such a strong flavour, its like nothing else and im addicted to it.

2017 Naga Plant Walk Down Memory Lane

The Naga plant was born in December 2016, this is his first photo as a little nipper

He soon started to shoot up, getting a big boy now! Mr Naga is the plant on the right, sadly the plant on the left which was my scotch bonnet died over the winter, we had such a good time over the summer and he gave me lots of spicy memories, he is missed.

Look at them bad boys, all were eaten by yours truly and they had the unique naga taste, not as hot as you would expect but wow they had full flavour and im slavering typing this just imagining how good they were, nom nom nom.

Before we set off home there was just enough time for my Santa Maria to do a bit of cactus surfing, i also love cacti, its one plant that doesnt die on me, ive had yukka, bonzai and god only knows what else but my house is such a dark dank hovel that anything that enters dies so yea it is sad that i cant live with my plants but i know they are much happier in a big bright conservatory than my kitchen window that has never seen the sun :(

I am this week planting paprikas in the organic garden I work in. Under plastic that is. I need to get me a pocket coin as well.

It is fun having a pocket coin, something to play with and share adventures haha. How is paprika made? are they a certain chilli or a mix, ive never thought what paprika actually is

Chili is the same as Paprika. Parika originates from Hungary language and we use this now too.

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

I had a cactus once, my mom killed it with her bare hands ;-;
