Picked up this 20 Belgian Francs gold coin dated 1875 from my last GainesvilleCoins order (along with 60ozt of random silver rounds):

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Gainesville has some good deals, but you have to place large orders for that $20 shipping to make sense. Here's the back:

The coin arrived in better shape than I thought it would. I don't care about the king, but the coat of arms is pretty cool IMO. HERE's a little info on the coin.

I do dig the edge lettering. Seems like a LOT of work (extra processes) for a coin this size.

I'll show the 60 randoms another time. I was VERY happy to see there was a lot of variety and some nice vintage rounds. Some I didn't have so... very cool. Thanks for checking out my little gold coin.

That is a beautiful old European coin and very well preserved. A worthy addiction to the stack!

Sweet gold coin. The edge letting makes the coin.

that is an awesome coin my good sir and I will remember that about gainsvile if I am ever making a big order

You know, I have not really bought anything from Gainsville. I better check them out. I love your gold coin, @sbsparts! It looks like it is in very good condition. Are you going to have that graded? I love the 20 franc size of gold coins. Not too expensive considering that they are very old coins.

That’s a beauty sbs! I adore the old European gold coinage. 👍
