Why is Gold Worthless?

The one thing I don’t understand is that virtually the whole world has such an overwhelmingly negative attitude toward gold. This inert shiny yellow piece of metal can stir up such irrational emotions about it. I have a theory that a lot of people around the world don’t even understand why they have a negative attitude to a piece of yellow metal. The theory is that not only have they manipulated the price of this yellow metal, but are also manipulating people’s minds to despise it and ridicule others because they are buying yellow metal.

I find it very strange that we humans search every inch of this planet looking for gold, digging it up, refining it, transporting it and storing it in massive vaults buried deep inside mountains. We spend billions of dollars and countless hours for this barbarous relic!!! Add to that the billions of dollars spent to manipulate the price and the public into thinking it’s just a useless dinosaur of the financial world. It seems like a lot of effort to go through for no reason, or maybe all this effort is to convince everyone and hope that the people don’t buy it.

Remember this is just a shiny yellow piece of metal, but to me it’s not. To me silver and gold are kryptonite against the globalists who are controlling this planet and if they are willing to go to all this trouble to convince me not to buy, that’s exactly why I buy it.

Have you bought your silver and gold yet?

Gold maybe is the ultimate money if there will be no more Internet. But they have to manipulate it's value because it's a way to make money for the powerful few.

Golds day will come my friend, When the tide changes you can't hold it back. Cheers

Banks do everything they can to manipulate it to keep you thinking that putting your money in their bank is a better place rather than silver and gold, and to help them accumulate it at a cheaper price.

The way I see it my friend, is when someone tries hard to convince me of something it probably not in my best interest. Thanks for the reply. Cheers

This might sound silly because I not young anymore, but my dad was a very clever man and he always said gold is the way to go. You dont pay taxes on gold and he always bought Krugerrands. It comes in handy when needed.

That's it, great advice from a wise man. Gold is accepted anywhere as money. If you have it and anything goes wrong you wont go without. Cheers

you can NOT eat the gold and you can NOT grow it as food. and you can NOT use it as a tool to produce something and you can NOT ride it or drive it or fly it, all you can do with it is watch it gatter dust on top on it and nothing more than that

So do you eat paper money!!!

you can NOT eat bitcoin and you can NOT grow it as food. and you can NOT use it as a tool to produce something and you can NOT ride it or drive it or fly it, all you can do with it is use it as money.

And you can't hold bitcoin either. But gold allows you to buy all those things. Cheers

Lol

Yep gold is nothing more than a store of wealth ,helped by its rarity in the earths crust and how much work goes into extracting and refining it .But silver is a whole different ball game ,it has hundreds of different uses in energy medicineand electronics and will no doubt become even more useful and more valuable going into the future , it is probably rarer now than gold and is largely a bi product of the mining of other metals. But as you say i wouldnt recommend eating either in large quanities.

I think a lot of people just don't understand that most of golds worth is not because it's yellow and shiny, but most of it's worth comes from all the work to create that bar or coin. Cheers

And similar to silver the work to extract gold from the ground is increasing as the most easy to get gold is mined first.

That's true, with inflation constantly increasing costs the price has to go up just so the mines can stay in business. Cheers

Listen not to what they say but watch what they do. The elites are hoarding gold silver artworks and other valuable assets while telling us that digits in a bank account or on a blockchain are real measures of wealth. Just do the opposite of what they want us to do, silver is on sale at the moment, get one of those 1oz art coins in your hand and compare that to a bitcoin or a £5 note.

True my friend, It doesn't matter what others thinks about gold, I will go with 5000 years of history thanks. Cheers

This is absurd.. everywhere you look, people are trying to sell you gold. The elites are not hoarding anything, they are selling off their gold to the average retail investors stupid enough to buy it.

I agree with you that all that work to get gold out of the ground wouldn't be for no reason like we are led to believe.

China and India are aggressively accumulating gold.
JPMorgan is aggressively accumulating silver.

Consider: The New Case for Gold by James Rickards. This is a book was published last year and it's pretty good support for gold. It's not everybody that has a negative perspective on gold.

Thanks for your comment, I think Jim's spot on with his analysis, the bloke was an insider for crying out load. Cheers mate.

Gold is the most beautiful substance on this planet. That pic of the gold ingots is sexier to me than any car, house or woman on this planet. Idk why I even feel that way I'm just drawn to it? ..I could look at it all day long. There's just something about it I love to touch and look at it. Silver the same way. The greatest sound to me isn't music, a bird chirping or a baby laughing..the greatest sound to me is silver coins clanging around in my hand

And one more thing, gold is timeless. It'll be here and sought after long after I'm gone. There's just something so cool about that to me

You sound like your in love my friend. Lol I know what you are talking about. Cheers

Everything is so fake these days who knows what has value and what is worthless. But my money is on Silver! Stack high and wide my friend!

The precious metals aren't fake my friend, they are the only thing I trust. Cheers

Oh I agree with you. I meant the price is fake.

You are onto something there..cheers

Thank you for your comment.Cheers

Thanks for that I will have a read. Cheers

The value of any object is only as high as that with which we give it.
Precious metals are not solely for investment purposes, they have real world applications such as electronics, dental, chemical processes, hell even eating gold leaf.
I think a reason for the negative attitude is that gold is seen as an affluent material and one that can not be easily spent frivolously like cash. It is the ease of use of the "promissory notes" instead of carrying metals.

Which also makes it the perfect saving vehicle my friend. Cheers
