Drip drip drip.....

The last four days here have been mid 90’s with over 80% humidity.

While I’m by no means afraid of working in these conditions, the wood and finish that I need to spray on it have a different agenda......

If it was just straight hot out I’d be flying along because the finish would dry rather quickly. Which would allow me to get more coats done in a day.

Well the opposite happens when the humidity is over 60% and it’s hot out. The finish never sets, because the moisture has no where to go.

Example: The other day I had an estimate in the Hamptons, Long Island New York. I sprayed up all of the drawer boxes for a kitchen around 6:00 am. I left for the estimate around 9:30. I was literally gone the entire day, returning to the shop around 7:00 pm to find the finish on the drawers was still not set.

I have been running 3 dehumidifier units 24/7 and I’m not making much headway. I’m at a standstill since the finish isn’t set I can’t make any dust or I’ll ruin the finish.

So I’ve been bringing stuff outside to work on, getting baked in the sun.....

Just today I’ve drank 12 half liter bottles of water and I’m still dehydrated probably.

Tomorrow we are suppose to get crazy storms, hope it takes this humidity with it.

The west coast never gets this humid. 😉

Do you know why it's always windy in the mid west? Cause the east coast sucks and the west coast blows! 🤣🤣🤣

Hydration is important by sounds like you may need the electrolyte replacement too. Take care!
