'The Sickness' - Photo share of Vintage Silver!!

in steemsilvergold •  6 years ago

I am sure it has been very obvious I have significant interest in the collectible vintage silver market. I try and evaluate my position and revisit previous experiences that ultimately led me to where I am today. .

The best way for me to describe my passion for vintage silver is by referring to it as "The Sickness". Fellow precious metal enthusiasts will completely understand what I mean by that. For those of you who don't. It literally feels like something has taken over your body. That "something" causes you to spend money you don't have, hawk EBay all day and night, put in contrasting light bulbs to take better photos, shake excessively during a silver auctions, postpone sex for a silver auction, and set your alarm in the middle of the night for a silver auction. . . Only a few symptoms to say the least...

THAT IS THE SICKNESS SHOWING ITS TRUE POWER

Now I can only hope that I am not the only one who does this 😅😥🤣. I was infected by the sickness the very first time I held a 10oz poured Silvertowne bar in my hand. There was no turning back. .

I want to present two silver ingots that highlight what collecting vintage silver is all about. .

☝️True natural patina on two iconic US based refiners. Where all of the sought after charactoristics are very prominent. This is what it is all about!!

COULD ALWAYS BE A WORSE TYPE OF SICKNESS RIGHT?

I'll be observing the results carefully. Thank you, I will add this experience into our knowledge base knowing that it will greatly benefit others experiencing similar issues.
If you are having problems in coping with Stacking symptoms, side effects, or negative outcomes my clinic will be open.
Because the loss of a new Stacker is a loss to all of us.

Love this response @kerrislravenhill!!!! What an interesting and helpful position you hold here in the community. I do feel at ease knowing there is an experienced nurse among us !!!!🤘✌🤙

Perhaps one day I could have my own Bot that can Upvote new @ssg-community posts that contain the word "Stackitis or Stackitus" in the title. For now, I wear my black Gothic nurse uniform, and my Medical bag is ready and equipped with a New electronic BP Cuff, Indicator Thermometer, Stethoscope, Oximeter, reflex hammer, and dominatrix whip, how'd that get in there?

I love the idea. Let's get the bot going ! You Have all of my support @kerrislravenhill🤘👍

All in due time Sir.
After all I still have a Day (Actually Nurse's Night Shift) job.

If you change the concept of an "ingot" for the concept of a "commemorative", your article would be written by me.

Yess!! We both have very similar interests...

I do believe it is called Stackitis here on the platform ;)

And I do think I am feeling the first symptoms myself XD

It is exactly as you have keenly observed Mr @pbock
Please see my reply comment in this post to @silveringots on more details of this dreaded Disease and my efforts to make it more fun. It is nothing to be taken lightly enough, except during the Monster raffle.

Once the sickness hits you there is no turning back...

Very nice vintage pieces! Damn!!!

Thanks @thedamus !!

Both are very nice bars. I could understand getting up in the middle of the night to bid on either of them. There's something about older silver bars that just looks awesome. I like modern silver too, but the older pours like the ones you have are a cut above most of the current stuff.

🤙👍
