Bitcoin is a currency and hence it should as well be used as such. That being said I've did exactly that today to purchase my first gold and silver coins ever. It really felt awesome to perform a payment so easily and without any bank being involved at all.
I'm not just excited about the power of cryptocurrency though but especially about the fact that I'm now as well a little bit invested into precious metals just like gold and silver. I've been looking into them for some time already and today finally took the courage to make myself a proud owner.
So where did I get Gold & Silver for Bitcoin?
As I'm travelling quite a bit I didn't really want to store anything at home but rather know it safely stored at any time of the year. Hence I made the decision to buy and store my metal at Bullionstar in Singapore and not just due to the fact that they accept bitcoin.
The most important to me was that I become the owner of actual gold and not just of some papergold on a trading platform. With Bullionstar guaranteeing exactly this while being located in Singapore, a highly regulated, stable and secure country the decision wasn't too hard after all.
I'll keep on diversifying my Portfolio
The small purchase I've made will definitely not be the last one as I plan to further diversify my portfolio so that fiat and crypto won't be my only two holdings anymore. But as well I somehow feel that we might see a major spike in the prices of gold as well as silver due to the ongoing devaluation of fiat money...
People will again start to look for solid and crisis proven assets, which are simply those that are around for thousands of years already. I guess that no one will ever doubt that gold is and will ever be highly valued.
