This is the 3rd coin of my current favorite series "The Egyptian Gods". This series has such amazing detail. The Ultra High Relief coins look like they are coming right out of the coin. Let's take a look at some of the info and pics of this beauty.
Sobek
The obverse of this coin features Sobek, the Egyptian crocodile god. Known as Lord of the Waters, Sobek is the god of strength, power, and fertility. A contemporary view of the Nile river is shown with palms growing from the soil to symbolize fertility.
Reverse
The reverse of the coin shows a pyramid that stands in front of a wall filled with hieroglyphs. it also features a crocodile perched atop a table, an earthly representation of Sobek. At the bottom you can see the weight, purity and symbol for Silver.
A few close ups
Now for my favorite part.....loop pics. These show how beautifully detailed the coins are. It's hard to get the depth of the strike to pop out, but this is about as close as I can get.
