When I first started investing in precious metals, many many many moons ago, I was instantly drawn to the designs of the PERTH MINT, Australia's flagship bullion manufacturer. I cant remember exactly why I had an infinity with their designs, possibly because they had some pretty cool looking animals on them and for some reason were the cheapest to purchase back then...... Ok, you got me!! It was the suprisingly cheap prices that first caught my eye, but with the sheer variety, just like Ash Ketchum, I knew I had get them all.

From Kangaroos, Koalas and Kookaburras, to Funnel-web spiders, wedge tail Eagles and Saltwater Crocodiles the Australian mints coins are to die for and just like their wild counterparts, given half the chance most of the wildlife in Australia would kill you.

Ive been holding off showing these Australian beauties, waiting for the right day to showcase what Australia has to offer thr precious metals world. Since today is "Australia day", i thought to myself what better day to bring these amazing looking coins to your attention.

Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Observed annually on 26 January, it marks the 1788 landing of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove[a] and raising of the Union Flag by Arthur Phillip following days of exploration of Port Jackson in New South Wales. In present-day Australia, celebrations aim to reflect the diverse society and landscape of the nation and are marked by community and family events, reflections on Australian history, official community awards and citizenship ceremonies welcoming new members of the Australian community.

On Australia Day, people across the country come together to participate in a wide range of activities, including community events, parades, barbecues, and fireworks displays. There are also official ceremonies, such as the Australian of the Year awards, which recognize outstanding contributions by Australian citizens.
