I am really excited to introduce a project that I have been working on called Steem Skills.

Steem Skills is an online course that will focus on the skills that are essential for Steemit users to grow and prosper in the Steemit community.

The first course is called Steem Markdown, which will teach you what you need to know to format and style your posts. I will be closing the testing phase of the course very soon. For a limited time, Steem Markdown is available for FREE.

All of the bugs have not been ironed out, so I would appreciate any feedback - encouragement and constructive criticism.

Here are the things I still need to work on:

  • The Introduction Page
  • Certificate of Complete and/or Completion Badge
  • Some additional items for the Tips and Tricks Section

Again, please take advantage of this Markdown resource that is specially designed for Steemit user.

And let me know in the comments section how I can make this even better for you and future Steemit users.

A special thanks to a few Steemian who have already provided great feedback:

@mandolincarls, thanks for the support. I appreciate the @dropAhead curation efforts!

The markdown [Link] has now been working for me for over a week. One has to watch out about gaps, the same for quotes. Play around; be aware of this. Be well.

@aedroberts, I appreciate the advice. I have noticed that sometimes Markdown syntax in Steemit does not act the way it is described in other guides. I have also noticed that sometimes the browser you use also makes a difference. Thank for the comment.

I would love to hear your thoughts about the online module and get your feedback.

@sumatranate Are you referring to the GitHub Guides?

Yes, all the information I have seen so far appears to be connected back the GitHub guide.

One example that I noticed was that Steemit cannot interpret the center alignment for text in tables, but it could recognize right alignment. Bizarre!

This post may help. Obviously, it is over a month. Still, the author is someone who knows more than me. https://steemit.com/steemit/@skapaneas/three-commands-everyone-should-get-used-to-for-perfect-posts-every-time

I have all of these topic either written up or on my list to write. Thanks for the input. I appreciate all the feedback, because I want to be sure to include as many great pieces of information as possible.

been trying to figure out how to markdown...looking forward to the course

@breakthrough, I would love your feedback as someone new to Markdown. Let me know what you think!

Just enrolled and very thankful for the opportunity. I will see if I can get around to it tonight and will bring you feedback if/when I have any :)

@frugallady, thanks for enrolling. Please let me know one way or another how the experience was. I want it to be both information and easy to navigate.
