Possible Use cases for SteemSpeak token and Mockup of new Steemspeak website to explain the steem-engine token.

in steemspeak •  5 years ago

Because there has been an increasing number of users asking what the SteemSpeak token does and what benefits they can get from staking it, I have decided to create a list of potential use cases which have been discussed with the SteemSpeak owners, and which have a good potential to be implemented. I cannot make promises about exactly what will be rolled out but SOMETHING that adds value WILL be decided upon. Here are just a few of the possibilities:

  1. Voting rights in the discord, having a say in SteemSpeak during any disagreements

  2. Free Accounts for steemspeak holders (or you can spend 1 steemspeak for a free account)

  3. Advertising space in the discord using existing ad bots.

  4. Exclusive Member benefits: We can limit the #postpromotion channel to steemspeak holders only or allow steemspeak holders without sufficient balance to post their steem posts in general chat I have also made it a tradition to reward the top 10 users staking steemspeak tokens with various steem-engine tokens. I have also given "airdrops" to the top Steemspeak holders like @oscarps of bonus pegged EOSIO assets, and steem-engine stakes.

  5. Free Steem Invite links via SteemInvite by @pharesim and INV token and invite.steem.ninja via @oracle-d . I have 200 saved up and Fyrstikken has over 7000 steeminvite links, enough to cover almost half the 16 thousand steemspeak tokens airdropped to every steemian with over 200 SP. This could allow everyone with 1 steemspeak token to get a free account by staking 1 steemspeak token for a set amount of time so they can have an invite link for their friend or family member.

image.png

At the present time, the Steemspeak token is near the top of the Marketcap list on scot.today with a 1.7 Billion dollar marketcap and Daily Volume lists with over $40 USD worth of volume in teh last 24 hours. SteemSpeak token has also been airdropped to over 16 THOUSAND steemians, criterion was having over 200SP or above. It's supply is limited to just under 1 billion tokens now that its max supply was fully issued and mostly burned with only uner 1 billion remaining in circulation but only a few thousand actually being allowed to circulate.

@fyrstikken has stated he has no intention of ever using those 990 million + SteemSpeak tokens in this @steemspeak account and the only steemspeak for sale will be the 16 thousand tokens airdropped slowly coming to be sold on the market by users finding out about it,. Or they can slowly stake them as people all find out about the tokens over a nice long period of time. As users come into steemspeak discord after seeing the https://steemspeak.com discord link in the description of the coin, we will introduce them to the discord and as it grows we will add more voice rooms, more text chats and a https://vimm.tv and twitch stream where i can host the discord like a TV show and bring @fyrstikken on as a guest whenever we start mooning in price, celebrating with campaign.

Another potential use case for steemspeak (and other steem-engine tokens) is that while streamingon Twitch and Vimm.tv I can even ACCEPT Steemspeak tokens for TTS Text to Speech Donations and Media (Youtube videos) played on stream, like people already use paypal to pay for... I can do it manually if @ginabot or @banjo can give me notifications whenever I get a steemengine token like steemspeak arriving in my steem wallet. Preferably I can set up a streamlabs style system, where a bot can just read whatever text is sent to me in a memo from a steemspeak token donation. Should really be simple BUT if it is possible to work with #speak or @vimm @vimm.tv then we could have a streamlabs style system where we could use steemspeak and vimm gem's to read text to speach or TTS donations and play youtube video audio which is a common practice for peopel wanting to get on screen attention while watching their favorite streamer.

Steemspeak tokens will need Wallets and we already have some potential web wallets like the @steempeak wallet on https://steempeak.com/@ackza/transfers where i can send and receive any steem-engine token without needing steem keychain, all possible via steemconnect.
image.png

We can also use this page as a potential web wallet to refer new SteemSpeak users: https://steem-engine.com/?p=history&t=STEEMSPEAK
image.png

The steem-engine.com history page can be used as a wallet, and can work like steempeak without the keychain chrome/brave extension and can be used simply with steemconnect and an active key. Of course if someone is on desktop with keychain they can also use THAT to send and receive SteemSpeak and all steem-engine.com tokens.

Steem Engine tokens will eventually have mobile apps, either for using every steem engine token or perhaps wallets for individual tokens, complete with browsers to use their posting key to write posts, and earn more of the token with built in scot browsers. We may see a steempeak mobile app with tribe browser and this could have a built in wallet for mobile that will really help make steemspeak and all steem engine tokens more legitimate in the eyes of greater crypto community. We can I am also working with @djennyfloro on creating a simple website for SteemSpeak and hopefully for all steem-engine tokens, tokenized like the INV tokens so that each token can get your steem-enginetoken its own custom website.

We will also see things like BLOCK explorers and websites like scot.today adding value to the steem-engine ecosystem. https://steem-engine.rocks and https://scot.today are a great start but expect to see many more sites to organize scot based info. We will see wordpress sites about various steem-engine token and I have created a rough mockup of what a SteemSpeak.io wordpress site could look like to better explain the token to new users.
image.png
(Actual version may differ greatly from this but should give more credibility to steem engine projects, when we offer to share with them the skills to create that crisp neat slick "crypto ICO" themed websites, which usually use one of 10 various wordpress themes which we can imitate sufficiently to project an aura of competence.

I also get many users coming into SteemSpeak.com discord asking WHY they should stake their steemspeak token? And besides the various potential features being discussed ranging from free advertising space, to a free steem invite link for everyone who stakes 1 steemspeak for 1 month, to exclusive access to discord rooms with extra $rain airdrops from @banjo, I also discovered another SOLID reason as to WHY you should stake.

But HERE is why you should stake your steemspeak tokens... SECURITY.
image.png

Like Bitcoin this token can unite our interests... keep one and you are rooting for our project, sell it and your going to be FOMOing until the token is well over $100 each and there are enough buy orders to actually sell hundreds of them ... But UNLIKE Bitcoin, you can STAKE this token, like Steempower or EOS, and this staking prevents theft because you can actually undergo a stolen account recovery feature on the steem blockchain using a recovery partner. Imagine if you will that volume will only go up for popular steem-engine coins as it has been doing. Look at the volume of steem engine coins, and imagine a SE token like steemspeak getting attention of major investors like @thejohalfiles . When johal and other whales see that the SteemSpeak discord is finally doing what weve been talking about for years, tokenizing the discord, they might tell their friends and we might see OUTSIDER investment pumping steemspeak tokens and thus steem itself.

People will need to buy Steem to get SteemP to buy SteemSpeak tokens.

image.png

It may not be self evident now but once there is enough demand for steemp to buy steem-engine tokens, @aggroed and @someguy123 will have to buy more steem on the market to back their pegged SteemP asset. Long story short: demand for use of steem-engine.com and demand to buy steem-engine.com tokens will create a demand for steem itself.

Really praying the steem-engine and SMT markets help steem boom up!

Holy crap @ackza do you ever sleep?

Awesome development. i think I will now be able to own a steempeak account.

Thanks! I really believe we will have a solid community now that it can be tokenized and we can clearly see who owns a piece of it and who has a stake.... People can now put their money where their mouth is, and Im sure if investors want to buy a large enough stake from steemspeak, that steemspeak can even draw up some sort of discord smart contract to ensure the power of accounts can be placed on a blockchain.... I can think foa few interesting ways to have the 2fa and password for a discord account with pecific roles, to be shared with multisig accounts, also old steempeak used to have pow key generation for account creation... its all vague sounding i know but I believe there might be some ways to use what already exists on steem, steem engine and discord to allow for the ownership of the token to correlate with more and mroe advanced ROLES on teh discord. THAT is something @discordtip bot owner unko was able to do with THAT bot, SELL ADMIN roles, like for example kicks and bans for other users :D Now imagine,m you must own at least a 1% or 0.1% or 0.01% stake in steemspeak to be able to have the admin role, etc etc

Okay. Going to see if I can afford this shit. We shall see what we shall see.

SHADE COMING

!SHADE 1

I got 0.001 steemspeak 😆😆😆

Oops. Should have read the post better instead of just scanning. I thought it was advertising SteemSpeak.io, instead it was showing what SteemSpeak.io might look like. I am sorry. I stand corrected.

Hi steemspeak the SHADE tokens are on the way.
Thanks for sharing SHADE
To view or Trade SHADE visit steem-engine.com

thank you for explaining this, I'm just wondering why you don't transfer 990m to @null

Because then it wouldnt show up as 1 billion dollar marketcap.

or wait perhaps it will? This is an interesting question, maybe we could make our own version of null but which still has the coins show up on the marketcap :D

I also agree with sending 990m to null, we will see what happens. Obviously that would increase the price and support investor confidence. But we seem to be doing fine the way it is now I hate to admit.

I like what I'm seeing...

Thanks! I got my 1 steemspeak and I just staked it...
All the very best, guys! 💪

Just joined steemspeak
