Hi, Steemers!

Team Peugeot Total destroyed competition in car category on this year's Dakar Rally. All three podium steps belong to Peugeot drivers.

Stephane Peterhansel won for the 13th time this event and became most successful Dakar's competitor ever with seven wins with the car and six on bike. Loeb again didn't succeed to win Dakar but this time he drove with his usual co-driver D. Elena and finished second, more then 5 minutes behind Peterhansel. Third was Cyril Despres, again in Peugeot, more then 32 minutes behind winner in general classification.

Peterhansel lost lot of time on Thursday in incident with biker Simon Marcic but organiser gave him his time back and that led him to win the event.

Another ex-WRC driver Mikko Hirvonen (Mini) had incident on Thursday in collision with a truck and finished Dakar Rally in 13th place more then six hours behind winner.
