Match Preview

The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals face off on Sunday night in a crucial NFC West showdown matchup. This game is really gaining interest from fans in the NFL due to its importance and value regarding playoff spots in the NFC West. These two teams will make their mission to not disappoint the attending fans and provide a trule spectacle!

This match will be held inside the University of Phoenix Stadium, Phoenix, Arizona on NBC on Sunday evening

(9:30 PM Central Time)

(8:30 PM Eastern Time)

(5:30 PM West Coast Time)

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks look to build on their three game winning streak and at the same time, build their lead in the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks have 11 regular season road victories since the 2014 NFL season!

Quarterback Overview

Russell Wilson has completed 65% of his passes, he has thrown for 1,334 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception; althought, Wilson has not thrown an interception in his last four games!

Running Back Overview

The Seattle Seahawks ground game is averaging 88.8 yards per contest, and Christine Michael leads the way with 354 yards and four touchdowns!

Wide Receiver Overview

Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham have combined for 716 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Tyler Lockett has only 11 receptions.

Defense Overview

Seattle's defense is not that great this year, but it’s not that bad either as they have a total of 5 interceptions and Richard Sherman leads the way with 2 interceptions, 16 sacks, and 5 takeaways this season. This defense needs to come out aggresive on Sunday if they have any chance of stopping the Cardinal WR core of Fitzgerald and Floyd.

Seattle Seahawks Injury Report

The injury report for the Seahawks is not too promising with a multitude of players on the sidelines. Most notably, Thomas Rawls and Quinton Jefferson with fibula and thumb injuries and Franks Clark’s troubled hamstring makes him a doubt for the game on Sunday.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals look for their third straight victory to get right back in the NFC West division race against the Seahawks on Sunday! The Arizona Cardinals have won six of their last nine home games and have won two of those nine this season.

Quarterback Overview

Carson Palmer has seemed to return to his usual form with the stellar performance against the N.Y. Jets this past week with an impressive 28-3 victory!

Running Back Overview

The Arizona Cardinals ground game is averaging 124.3 yards per contest, and the breakout out star, David Johnson leads the way with 568 yards and eight touchdowns!

Wide Receiver Overview

Larry Fitzgerald leads the Cardinals’ wide receivers with 410 yards off of 37 receptions with an average of 11.1 yards per catch and 5 TD’s followed by John Brown with 301 yards on 24 receptions with an average of 12.5 yards per catch this season!

Defenese Overview

Defensively, Arizona is averaging 17.3 points and 295 yards per game. Tony Jefferson leads the Arizona Cardinals with 48 tackles and Markus Golden has six sacks and Marcus Cooper has three interceptions!

Arizona Cardinals Injury Report

The Arizona Cardinals will also be hampered by their injury list. Players that are most definitely out are Jake Coker and Jimmy Legree who are nursing knee and calf injuries as well as Jaron Brown and Carson Palmer are included in the long list of players who are a doubt for Sunday night’s big game.

How to Play

  • Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).

  • Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).

  • After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.

The Stake Pool:

  • The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.

  • 30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

  • 70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.

  • Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

  • Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.

  • Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

  • @steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.

  • Please vote responsibly :).

So this match was the one in the 500 that end with an overtime tie! :)
Will we just split the SP?

My question too!

The Seahawks were spotted 2.5 points, thus there can't be a tie, since a half a point can't be scored in football. Seahawks actually won this bet line 8.5 to 6. Go hawks!

Edit: Nevermind. It said in this post:

Please note: We have decided that the spread for this game will not affect your vote bets being that it is a close spread! With that being said, whatever team you pick... You will pick them to win without the spread!

Foolish choice, IMO. There should always be a spread with a half point to get around the possibility of these types of situations.
