Toronto Maple Leafs

##Team1 Logo

The Leafs are almost in dead last in the Atlantic. Going into this season everyone has been keenly aware that this team is in rebuilt mode. Rookie Austin Matthews provides a view of the future. Young players like Kadri are just starting to mature. This team isnt going anywhere soon - but every now and then we see a glimpse of the future.

##Standings

##Team 1 Lineup

So Far This Season:

The Leafs are 11-11-5 which keeps them just out of last place in their division. For Toronto fans, there are plenty of highlights in their young players - but the team is probably at least 2 years away from making the playoffs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs (officially the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club) are a Canadian professional ice hockey team based in Toronto, Ontario. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team is one of the "Original Six" league members. They are owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Ltd. and are represented by Chairman Larry Tanenbaum. In February 1999, they moved to the Air Canada Centre, which replaced Maple Leaf Gardens, the team's home since 1931.

The franchise was founded in 1917, operating simply as Toronto and known today as the Toronto Arenas, as it was operated by the Toronto Arena Company, owners of the Arena Gardens arena. In 1919, the NHL transferred the franchise to new owners who christened the team the Toronto St. Patricks. The franchise was sold in 1927 and was renamed the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club. The team colours are navy blue and white.

The Maple Leafs have won thirteen Stanley Cup championships, second only to the 24 championships of their primary rival, the Montreal Canadiens. They won their last championship in 1967. Their 48-season drought between championships is currently the longest in the NHL.

With an estimated worth of US$1.3 billion, the Leafs are the most valuable franchise in the NHL, followed by the New York Rangers and the Montreal Canadiens. In 2015, they were ranked by Forbes as the 37th most valuable sports team in the world (and the only NHL team to be in the top 50).

San Jose Sharks

##Team2 Logo

The Sharks beat the Hurricanes in their last appearance. They are third place in the Pacific division. They are an excellent team - with the likes of Burns, Thornton, Couture and Pavelski. The Sharks finished third last year and ended up making it all the way to the Stanley Cup final. This club is every bit as dangerous as last years and you can be sure they will be a force again this year in the post-season.

##Standings

Team2 Lineup>

So Far This Season:

The Sharks are 16-11-1 this year which puts them in third in the Pacific division. After last years Stanley Cup upset the Sharks are once again looking to get their hands on the Stanley Cup.

The San Jose Sharks are a professional ice hockey team based in San Jose, California. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). They play their home games at the SAP Center, known locally as the Shark Tank.[3] The Sharks were founded in 1991 and were the first NHL franchise based in the San Francisco Bay Area since the California Golden Seals relocated to Cleveland in 1976. They have won six division titles and one conference championship.

Support SteemSports Ultimate Vote Betting … together we all can win!

How to Play

  • Vote on the main post to enter the bet (main post rewards will also be added to the Stake Pool).

  • Cast your Vote Bet on ONLY ONE outcome for which you bet on for the win (Multiple comment votes will be automatically disqualified by the script, unvote and revote counts as multiple votes and will be disqualified).

  • After 24 hours, the post and related game comments payout to the pool; remember 25% voters rewards are deducted from the total post payout value first as per Steem curation rules. Voters are rewarded in standard fashion in proportion to their Steem Power holdings.

The Stake Pool:

  • The remaining 75% of the total payout is paid out in 50% Steem Power and 50% in liquid currencies, the latter now varies in payout ratio after the new fork. To make the process less complicated, we have decided to use all paid out SBD to buy Steem in the internal market to create a grand total Steem Stake Pool.

  • 30% of the Stake Pool will be retained, of which 15% will go to the writer/sports presenter of the post, and the 15% balance towards editing, development and advertising.

  • 70% of the Stake Pool will be held until the event/game outcome is determined.

  • Once the winning outcome is determined, we will execute a proprietary developed script that will divide and pay out the Steem rewards equally, using the Power Up method, to Mass Distribute SP to all participants that voted on the main post as the entrance fee as well as voted on the correct comment representing the winning outcome.

  • Only participants with a Reputation of 35 or more will qualify to earn SP rewards, but non-qualifiers can still vote and comment in support of the redistribution initiative.

  • Vote Percentage Requirements : Players with less than 100 000 Steem Power (SP) are required to vote main post with at least 50% and players with more than 100 000 SP are required to vote main with at least 10%.

  • Comments may then be voted with any percentage, but we do encourage all players to vote main and comment with as much power as possible to help distribute SP and create employment for writers and editors.

  • Entry cut-off time is the earlier of the post payout or the start of the event.

  • In the event of a draw/tie and such vote option was omitted by @steemsports for any reason, the game will result in all players being paid out regardless of which draw/tied outcome voted.

  • @steemsports in the unlikely event that when the Stake Pool is divided up between the winners and the nomenclature resolution goes below the third decimal place (example: 0.0001), then Steem decimal restrictions won’t allow a payout and the pool will carry over to the next game.
  • Please vote responsibly :).

Even though their not playing in the Shark Tank , I have to go with SJ ! Lets face it
The Sharks have a great team and Toronto Sucks ! Lol ! What can I say , im a disgruntled
Canadian hocky fan ! Plus I live in British Columbia so the Canucks are my team lol ! 🏒🏒

Between the Riot, the Bertuzzi incident and never winning anything - maybe you should look at your own team before criticising the Leafs !

Omg that was so long ago ! Some idiots had a stupid mob mentality and the world acts as though all of British Columbia is to blame ! Dont try saying how great Toronto is their in the bottom of the standings and have been lousy for years ! Also I never once said that Vancouver had a great team this year ! I just said that they are my team and one of the teams I follow and have followed for over 20 years ! My other 2 favorites are Chicago Blackhawks as half the team is Canadian, and the Montreal Canadians I was born there !

thanks for being straight up Lol!

Your very welcome ! Steem on ! 👍

Your very welcome !

No problem ! You are very welcome! 👍🎄

Some how my reply to your comments below was removed ! First off , I said that i follow the Canucks as i have for over 20 years as I live in British Columbia Canada! I did not say they were a great team this year at all ! Obviously you follow and defend the Leafs because you live in Toronto ! There was no need to bring up something that a bunch of idiots did and the media of course overplayed as they always do , a long time ago !OMG , You cant possibly blame all British Columbians for that ! I ALSO follow the Chicago Blackhawks as half their teem is canadian , and I follow the Montreal Canadians as I was born there ! Just please dont try to tell people the Leafs are any good ! Most hockey fans know better anyways ! Steem on !
