HOLY COW...
Well, now I'm just getting pissed off! My "slump" has become almost comical. The Dodgers are 81-33 (.711)... the next best team - the HOU Astros - are 71-43 (with a winning % of .623, which is obviously much more realistic). So the original logic behind my "experiment team" was sound. I just picked the WRONG FREAKIN' TEAM! The Astros and Dodgers had almost the same record at the All-Star Break, but Houston has lost 14 games, while the Dodgers have only lost 4. That is 10 more WINS that would have really helped the account balance - especially these past 3 since HOU was a heavy favorite and got swept by the White Sox.
As for my other picks, those really have been in a slump. I had a similar experience earlier in the season, and had to fight through it to overcome and get the balance back up. Another lesson in patience and account management. That is why you should never bet more than 5% of your account at any given time. WHEN you hit a slump (not IF - WHEN), you don't want to deplete your capital too quickly. You have to give yourself something to work with as you wait it out.
****On Another NOTE: The MIN Vikings did cover the -3 spread in their first preseason game against the BUF Bills - So there's that. YEA! *****
