Collin Sexton continued to impress everybody with his awesome Summer League as he led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 96-84 victory over the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the Las Vegas Summer League playoffs at Thomas and Mack Center on Wednesday. Can there be a little regret for LeBron James for leaving Cleveland because of how this kid performs. Remember that on draft night, Sexton tried to convince James to stay in Cleveland and he said, “Let’s get back to the finals man”. He can be a great replacement for Kyrie Irving as his style of play is a scoring point guard.
Sexton finished the game off with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal shooting 60 percent from the field. Okaro White added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 1 assist while Jamel Artis had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. John Holland scored only 5 points. The Cavaliers played this game without their best two players, Cedi Osman and Ante Zizic but they were still able to win the game and advance to the second round of the playoffs. The game changer was when the Cavs rallied in the third and fourth quarter and create a 19-3 run that gave the Cavaliers a 20-point lead with only seven minutes left in the game. The Cleveland Cavaliers finished with an outstanding 46.5 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from the three-point line and 82.6 percent from the free throw line.

The Kings were led by Justin Jackson who finished the game with 20 points and 4 rebounds. Second overall pick Marvin Bagley III didn’t play for the Kings. Wenyen Gabriel added 15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. Harry Giles had a tough night shooting only 25 percent from the field finishing the game with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal shooting 3 for 12 from the field. Zach Aguste contributed 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block for the Kings. The Cavaliers will wait for the winner of Brooklyn vs Houston for the second round of the playoffs.
