The reign of welterweight has long held a questionable lineage. From the Mayweather's to the Spence's of today, we have men claiming titles and ducking them all the same. Welterweight has always had the most skilled fighters, and we are on the bring of another solid event.
Danny Garcia has long been a formidable force at 140 pounds, and he has carried a lot of power and speed with him even at 147 pounds. Asides from the accusations of cherry picking fights, Danny is a serious force of pugilistic prowess and he must not be underestimated.

Brandon Rios will be the second piece to this Saturday's affair, and he is coming in off one of the best performances of his career. The decline of Bam Bam has not been a quick one, but one can argue he hasn't been the same since his wars with Alvarado and Pacquiao.
I believe that Brandon will have to be in the best shape of his life to last to the 12th round bell with Danny; Brandon has always been somewhat susceptible to switch hitters and southpaws... and Danny possesses one of the most dangerous left hooks in the game.

It will be interesting to see the game plan of both men in action as I believe Rios does have the better camp and corner. The Garcias have long been known to house aggressive yet methodical fighters who are durable and carry more heart and fervor than most.
Saturday will bring about yet another contender to be argued for, and another loser that may reconsider his future career moves. I believe Danny will carry the torch Saturday night, and make his long awaited debut with an explosive knockout over the formidable veteran.. we will just have to see!
