Elsewhere Premier league champions roared back to life with a comprehensive victory against Brighton and Manchester City bounced back from their first defeat of the campaign to win against Newcastle. The top performers of the round were Victor Moses and Aguero, they both accumulated 17 points.

The gap is massive and the signing of Sanchez looks to be coming a bit late for Manutd to challenge for the title but this is football and anything can happen. It is Manchester city's title to loose.
