Two losses to Max Holloway seemed to have skewed fans' minds on where Aldo exactly is in his career. The man is only 31 years old, but Brazilians fighting professionally since they are 16-18 years old feel as though they fight forever since it is in fact half of their lifetime!

If Aldo does ever get the Conor rematch, the Max rematch, or even a young prospect like Ortega.. I will always root for him. Aldo inspired me as a much younger man in college, and I really feel good about him getting another victory and not having a 3 loss streak.
The man he beat last night was Jeremy Stephens, and although Jeremy has never won the truly big fights of his career, he is still one of the most fearsome and hard hitting featherweights in the division. Aldo cemented his place as a legend last night, and Stepehens as a gatekeeper.

Aldo's ten year reign as champion was no fluke, and his early dismantling of fighters like Cub Swanson and Chad Mendes show that Jose is simply on another level than these other fighters. It was one hell of a spectacle, and the fearsome Stephens turned into the prey.
I look forward to more of Aldo in the coming years, and since he is in his early 30s, I wouldn't be surprised if he fought for ten more years. In his early 20s he was defending the throne of the most hardened division of the UFC, he has skills and can fight, and those won't ever leave him.

Aldo FW goat ... no man has done more for or in the division. He isn't at the top of his prime anymore but he is still one bad MOFO.

Who do you see as Aldo landing as his next opponent? It was nice to see him get a W again!

Absolutely! I honestly think anyone in the top 5 is good. Haven't ever seen Stephens fall like that, it was awesome!
