The career of 30-yearold ex-Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder, Samir Nasri, hit the rocks, following a ban from footballing activities imposed by UEFA.
Samir Nasri, a former French midfielder who played between 2008 and 2011 for Arsenal, before joining Manchester City for £25m, is set to be banned from the game that has given him fame, due to a drip treatment he received from a Los Angeles specialist clinic, while on holiday, back in 2016.
The statement from his lawyer stated that the suspension is being imposed by UEFA; as the treatment violated World Anti-Doping Agency’s (Wada) rules and regulations, which has led to an investigation by the Spanish Anti-Doping Body

UEFA which is the governing body for European football is yet to release a response; as reports coming from Spain indicate that the announcement of the ban is to be publicized on Monday. Nasri who won two Premier League titles at the Etihad, after leaving Arsenal for Manchester City, is said to have received the drip treatment in his hotel room from the private medical company known as Drip Doctors.
The 30-year old who is currently without a club after leaving Turkish side Antalyaspor only six months after joining in August, 2017 from Manchester City, posed for a photograph at the time, with Jamila Sozahdah, a co-founder of the organisation, while he was on loan to Sevilla from City.

The photograph which generated reactions on social media led to the investigation. According to WADA rules, active athletes are granted a 50 millilitre infusion limit for a six-hour period, but it is alleged that Nasri received sterile water of 500 millilitres as a form of hydration which contained micronutrients.
Sevilla, his club as at then, requested a retroactive therapeutic use exemption (TUE) in February 2017, but the request was refused and rejected by UEFA, a decision which was subsequently upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) after it was appealed. Nasri played 30 times for Sevilla last season and scored three goals before making a move to Turkish side Antalyaspor, where he played for just six months before having his contract terminated in January, 2018.

my favorite football player :) nice

Why is this drip treatment banned? I had never even heard of it before.

Well, there is a limit to the amount of drip infusion an active player must receive. Nasri allegedly exceeded that limit by 10 times, and he didn't inform the regulatory and governing bodies as to why.

Retire, #Nasri!
