Congrats to the 2018 Big Ten Tournament Champion Michigan Wolverines! What a phenomenal game and an incredible performance. Michigan punches their official ticket to the NCAA Tournament and now have an entire week to celebrate and then rest up!

The Wolverines beat the Boilermakers of Purdue 75-66. They led the entire game and never looked back. Michigan got off to a hot start in the first half and put up 38 points against a good Purdue defense. They would enter the break up by 5 and never surrendered a second half lead. Big man Moritz Wagner played one of his best games of the year. The 6’11 junior from Germany had 17 points including three huge shots from the 3 point line. He was named the MVP of the tournament and was smiling ear to ear in the post game celebration.

Purdue just could not keep pace with a hot Michigan team. The Boilermakers only made 45% of their shots from the field and 23% from downtown. Isaac Haas had a great game with 23 points on 9-12 from the field but the rest of the team struggled. Carson Edwards only made 4-16 shots on the day and that was a killer. Head coach Matt Painter will have all week to help his talented team regroup and get ready for a top seed. I think their shot at a number 1 seed though may be gone.

The Michigan Wolverines have now won another Big Ten Tournament Championship. They are absolutely on fire as the NCAA Tournament approaches. Will the week off of action hurt them or will it give them some much needed time to rest and reset their goals? Only time will tell.
