Cody Eakin and the Vegas Golden Knights had an astounding performance, which isn’t anything big for the Knights as it is a common phenomenon. Eakin notched only his second multi-goal game of his career in the Knights 4-0 victory. Tuch put the other two goals they scored behind Howard, giving Tuch his first multi-goal game of his rookie season.

Tuch scored the very first goal of the evening as well as the very last on Thursday. Karlsson assisted Eakin on his first goal which came on a short-handed opportunity, and the second goal in between the sandwhich came near the end of the second as Nosek perfectly set up Eakin to put one between the pipes. Marc-Andre Fleury extended on what has been an exceptional season, maybe his best of his career as he stopped all 28 shots Detroit tested him on.

For the past few seasons, and the future few seasons, the Red Wings will remain in an unfavorable situation. They can only hope to scout good draft picks and re-build a very old team. Vegas boasts a 43-19-5 record as a brand new team (expansion franchise). They will undoubtedly be a playoff contender and I foresee them taking on Tampa in the 2018 Stanley Cup.
