The Washington Wizards traveled to Milwaukee on Tuesday night to take on the Bucks at the BMO Bradley center. The Wizards are still awaiting the return of John Wall who has been sidelined with a knee injury since January. Milwaukee, on the other hand, is running on full power since Jabari Parker’s return from his injury a month ago.
Washington ripped out of the gates with a 14-0 run to start the game, with every starter making at least one field goal during the stretch. The hot start propelled the Wizards to a 40-22 first quarter lead. The Bucks opened up the second quarter with a 16-7 run to cut their deficit to eleven before the Wizards built their lead backup to fourteen, ending the half at 64-50. Otto Porter, Jr. led the Wizards at half with 15 points while the Bucks countered with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 14 points.

Milwaukee came out of the locker room inspired sparking a 16-4 run to cut their deficit to two midway through the quarter, ultimately ending the frame still trailing 84-81. In the fourth quarter, the Wizards clung to their lead throughout the period, never allowing the Bucks to pull even. With Milwaukee down 106-104 with 0:25 on the clock, they had one last possession to pull even when Antetokounmpo received the ball in the post, made a plethora of moves, ultimately taking a fall away jump shot in the lane, but failing to convert, as the Wizards were able to pull out a 107-104 road victory.

Bradley Beal lead Washington with 21 points and also added eight assists and seven rebounds. Antetokounmpo has a monster game on both ends of the court with 23 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 blocks. Parker added 19 points in the loss.

Great game last night, thanks for the recap. Wish my Bucks could have pulled it out. Would love to see them get up to around the 4-spot instead of 6 heading into the postseason.
