Week 2 Fantasy Football Leaders

The second week of the NFL season is in the books and we will break down the top fantasy players in each position. There were some monster games and performances by some familiar faces. Let's get started with the quarterback posistion and one hell of a performance.

Fantasy Football Leaders by position:

Quarterback: Tom Brady - New England Patriots - Brady was back in a BIG way this weekend after and embarrasing loss in week 1. He completed 30 of 39 pass attempts for 447 yards as he lead the Patriots to a 36-20 blow out win against the Saints. Brady tossed 3 touchdowns and had no interceptions.

Running Back: C.J. Anderson - Denver Broncos - Anderson had a big day for the Broncos as they beat the Dallas Cowboys. He carried the ball 25 times for 118 yards and a toucdown. Anderson also caught 3 balls for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Wide Receiver: J.J. Nelson - Arizona Cardinals - Nelson was an unlikely hero this week as he played a pivital role in the Cardinals road win at the Colts. He had 5 catches for 120 yards and a touchdown.

Tight End: Rob Gronkowski - New England Patriots - The Gronk looked like he is back to prime form. He was a great target for Tom Brady and caught 6 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. The Brady/Gronk connection is back!

Defense: Carolina Panthers - The Panthers defense held the Buffalo Bills to only 3 points. Ron Rivera's defensive line was fantastic, lead by verteran Julius Peppers who had 2 of the teams 3 sacks. They held the Bills to only 176 yards of offense and 10 first downs.

Kicker: Chris Boswell - Pittsburgh Steelers - Boswell was perfect on the day as he made all 4 of his field goal attempts. The Steelers beat the Minnesota Vikings 26-9.

I can't wait for week 3 to get started. The offenses should have their best performances yet and I expect even more scoring this week!
